Life is better with a dog!!

Pet care experience

I’ve loved animals as long as I can remember. I had my own dog ever since I adopted my first pup over 15 years ago, but we do not have a dog of our own at this time as our Foxy passed away a couple years ago. But I also grew up with cats and dogs. Although I feel like a part of my heart is missing without a dog of my own I would love to take care of yours and treat them as my own while they are with me. My kids have always had a dog around so they would never be mean to a dog. Especially since I have kids, I need to make sure I do not allow any life threatening aggressive dogs into our home. I’m hesitant about young puppies as I would prefer not to handle potty training and the other necessary puppy requirements since it hasn’t been too long since doing all of those things with my children lol. If you prefer your dog to be the only one in my house at the time of their stay I am happy to try and meet that request, but it depends if I already have other bookings and/or the length of the stay. Even though I mostly only watch smaller dogs I want to make sure everyone is comfortable with the safety of their pup while they are in my care. I will consider medium sized dogs as Rover lists 16-40lbs, but mostly only on the lower end of the medium size, not typically over 35lbs.

There are not enough positive words to adequately describe how pleased I am with my decision to entrust Brandi with the care of my pup! She is definite dog lover and it shows in the attentive care, attention and devotion she gives to your pup! Brandi agreed to watch my 8mo old wild puppy on relatively short notice and I could not have been more delighted with the experience. My pup had a fabulous time with Brandi and her boys and the numerous pictures and videos really helped to put my mind at ease while I was away on business travel. Her young boys were also instrumental in ensuring my pup had lots of exercise and a great time during his stay. I cannot recommend Brandi enough, particularly if you’re a high-strung pet parent like myself and nervous to entrust the care of your pup to another. You can rest assure that your pup is in the best hands under Brandi’s care! 5/5 stars!!!! I will definitely entrust Khaos’ care to Brandi in the future. You will not regret choosing her as a caregiver for your pup!

Brandi and her family are the perfect dog sitters. This was our first time using Rover and it was amazing! Brandi was very thorough in making sure our doggies were a good fit and from the first minute we met her we knew she was the perfect fit for us. She is kind and patient and an obvious dog lover. While away we received regular updates and pictures which made us feel so much better. Her home is spacious and her yard is amazing! The dogs were in heaven and so well taken care of We will definitely be taking our dogs there again Thank you so much!!!!!!

I would give 10 stars for Brandi! She took great care of our 3 yr old mini-labradoodle, Winston. We loved getting all the photos and videos throughout the stay and we can see how much Winston was enjoying his time at Brandi's house. Large fenced-in backyard was wonderful for Winston who loves to play outside and be chased around. Brandi also took Winston out for walks and even to playdates with friend's dog in the neighborhood. We feel very fortunate to have Brandi to take care of Winston!

You can have 100% confidence that Brandi will treat your dog well. From the photos that I received it was clear that my dog was very happy and content. Thank you for being there when I needed you, Brandi!

Safety, trust & environment

I am happy to follow each pet owner’s safety guidance as each pet and family is different and has different needs. We do have a fully fenced yard for dogs to spend time off leash outside, but I know some dogs need leash time on walks so please share if there is a preference. I mostly only care for smaller dogs so there wouldn’t be the potential of a large dog being aggressive with a small dog. I know what I used to look for when finding pet sitters and I want to make sure each pet owner feels their pup will be in a safe and loving environment with me and my family.

Information Brandi N. would like to know about your pet

If they are potty trained. How old they are. Where they sleep. Where they stay when you are not home. If they are chewers, markers, or diggers. If they need leash walks to do their business. If they like to go for leash walks/runs or if they prefer off leash in the fenced area or both. I like to know this info so I can be best prepared and meet your pup’s needs. If they have a tendency to try and escape. If there is anything in particular they like to get into or destroy (ie shoes, bathroom trash, etc) as I want to keep them safe and prevent destruction lol.

A typical day

We have 3 acres with ~1 acre fenced in a quiet, wooded neighborhood with the perfect road for leash walking. We often walk with a neighbor and her Bichon Frise if your pup likes other dogs. We have frisbees and balls for the fenced backyard. If your dog likes car rides I can sometimes take them with us when it’s appropriate. I do have a kiddie pool for warm months that I can fill with water if your dog likes water. Sometimes I take the pups with me to the bus stop, sometimes we walk and sometimes we drive. Example of a random weekday schedule: 6-7am: get up, potty break, breakfast for everyone 8:15am: get kids to bus stop 8:30am: walk and/or play in backyard 9:30am-1130am: inside time/lunch/treat/toys/nap (run potential errand(s)) 11:30am-12:30pm: play in backyard 12:30-3:40pm: inside/outside time 3:40-4:15pm: walk with pups to pick kids up from bus stop when it's nice out 4:15-5pm: dinner for everyone, time depending on evening activities 5pm: backyard break before leaving if there are evening activities 5:30-7:30pm: baseball/soccer (total time away on some weekdays bc we do not have activities every evening ~2hrs / weekends 2-3hrs, occasionally 4 hours) also I can sometimes bring pups with me 7:30pm: potty break/walk 8:30pm-9:30pm bedtime

Availability

I do not currently have a job that takes me out of the house so I’m able to give your pup plenty of attention and potty breaks. I do run errands, take my kids to sports/activities and we obviously go out for family activities or out to eat. During spring/summer months we are active more outside and with sports so if your pup cannot be left alone for a couple hours we may not be a good fit for your pup. Sometimes I do bring dogs with us when it’s appropriate and if it’s ok with you. When I run errands/take kids to activities/etc I plan around my dog sitting schedule and with my husband's schedule, which is why it is important for me to have a pretty good idea of the drop off/pick up times so please schedule 1-2 hour windows as accurately as possible or update me as soon as you know of a change. I’m quite flexible, even on the day of drop off/pick up, but I just really appreciate some notice if there is a change in drop off/pick up times so I can plan accordingly:)
