Certified Dog Trainer & Pet Sitter

Pet care experience

I am a professionally certified Dog Trainer, Walker & Pet Sitter. I received my certification as a Professional Dog Trainer in 2013 through Animal Behavior College. I have also completed ABC's Course in Training Shelter Dogs, and Professional Dog Walking and Pet Sitting. I've been working in the Pet Care Industry for more than 10 years, and I pride myself on the excellent service that I offer to my clients and my reputation as a dependable and trustworthy pet care specialist. In training, I use positive training methods following the methods of Positively Trainer, Victoria Stilwell (Founder of the Victoria Stilwell Academy and Star of "It's Me or The Dog"). I aim to teach owners not only how to manage their dogs but how to understand and change behaviour to create a happier relationship between them and their furry friends. I am always expanding my knowledge of dog training by attending different seminars/webinars and keeping up to date on current studies about dog behaviour and psychology. As a Pet Sitter/Dog Walker I fully understand just how difficult it is to leave your fur babies home alone when you go on vacation or have a long day at work. My hope is to give you some peace of mind while providing your pet with the best care and extra hugs and kisses while you are away. My services include dog walks (group & private), boarding in my home, full day pet sitting, cat care, bird care, small animal care, and pet grooming and doggie bathing service. I am also able to provide oral medicine to your pets if needed. I always treat my client's pets as if they were my own and I consider all of them to be a part of my family! I have recently branched out into the Equestrian world! Last summer, I volunteered many hours as a ranch hand at Spirit's Promise Equine Rescue on Long Island, NY. There I helped look after sixteen horses, eight mini ponies, four goats, a pot belly pig, and Mary, the lamb. I learned how to groom, feed, muck, administer medicine and many other essential jobs pertaining to Equine Care. If you are interested in hiring me to help you with your Equestrian Family Member, please feel free to contact me!

We have a 4 year old Cavalier King Charles Spaniel who loves Brandi! Brandi is extremely loving, caring and reliable. I trust her so much with our little Shyzo and highly recommend her services to anyone who needs a special someone for their precious pooch! :)

Brandi is an absolute gift to the world of four legged loves. She has a natural gift paired with education that is just wonderful. I think she finds as much joy working with dogs as they do being around her. Brandi is responsible and dependable with any level of dog sitting or walking. I highly recommend her!

Information Brandi M. would like to know about your pet

For Dog Boarding I must know that the dog has a even temperament and gets along well with other dogs. I also need to know if your pup has basic training and knows basic cues such as sit, down, leave it, and stay/wait. For Dog Walking and Drop In visits I still would like to know your pups temperament. I have worked with dogs that are leash reactive and have other behavioral issues such as anxiety or fear-based aggression so this does not bother me. Unfortunately, due to the fact that I do not live alone I cannot risk bringing a dog with behavioral issues into my house but I can always look after them in your own house. Other things I would like to know is whether your pup is food or toy motivated, if they have any allergies, medical history, what there favorite toys and/or games are, their usual energy level, their usual daily routine, and anything else you deem important for me to know!

A typical day

I love to take client pups on adventures with me. Down to the local park, to the beach, or just for a stroll around the neighborhood or in town. If your dog loves to play fetch we can always include a game of ball or frisbee. For athletic or high energy pooches we can include a bike run to help tire them out most energetic pups love running next to the bike once they learn how. Plus, did you know that biking with your pup is safer then running with them. Oh! And I always bring a supply of water for the pups whenever we go out!
