CHECK OUT THE DOG PARK BACKYARD!!!!

Pet care experience

NEWLY UPDATED YARD with premium dog turf, lots of dog activities and room to run around! A private dog park for your pets! *NEW CLIENTS: I LOVE meeting new clients! For the safety of myself, my own personal pets, and all other pets in my care I require a request at least 1 week before start of service. I require a meet and greet for all dog services and strongly urge them for cat services. Once a client has used me before, I will make every effort to accommodate last-minute sittings when I can.* I've spent most of my life around dogs, from owning them to volunteering in shelters and working at a dog daycare. It's rewarding for me to build relationships with both the dogs and the clients. In addition to being really comfortable with all animals, I know how to help calm nervous parents. Some parents, especially ones who have never left their pets before, want lots of updates and pictures and reassurances. I get it, because I feel the same way! Those parents receive multiple updates and videos every day. Sometimes, more established clients who know how happy their dogs are with me only want an update once a day or so. I really try and tailor the experience to fit the dog and the parents. I'm pet CPR/First Aid Certified, Fear Free Certified, A member of the National Association of Professional Pet Sitters, a member of Pet Sitters International, and a member of the Texas Pet sitters Association. I'm also privately bonded and insured in addition to Rover's guarantee. I have a small menagerie of personal pets. These include; 2 small senior dogs who prefer to sleep and sniff the day away, two young and active medium/large-sized dogs who love to run and play, and 3 cats who mostly enjoy napping in sunspots around the house. I'm a full-time pet sitter, so my job has me in and out and taking care of pets is my NUMBER 1 priority. That being said, due to commitments to other pets, I cannot be home 24/7. When I leave the house, I make sure each animal has their own private safe space. Some dogs are crated, and some dogs are baby-gated into their private guest suite. I have cameras that I can monitor while gone, a monitored alarm system, and smoke detectors that are monitored and notify me remotely if something happens. I make every effort to ensure that the animals that stay here fit in well together. This creates a more relaxing and fun space for all the dogs that stay here and ensures that my own pets have a fun experience with visiting dogs.

Brandi was very accommodating when booking close to the Thanksgiving holiday. She was communicative and sent pictures throughout the week. Doppler returned home happy and tired.

Brandi is amazing!! She scheduled a meet and greet before our overnight stay and took the time to ensure her home was the best fit for my dog, Pippin. He was in great hands while we were away!!

First time in 12 years of having our wonderful Chip and Nemmy, we felt completely at ease and comfortable traveling overseas. We cannot recommend Brandi enough! She is a true animal lover, completely considerate of each pets personality and needs. Being able to leave home and have peace of mind is truly priceless! Thank you, Brandi!

Safety, trust & environment

In my own home, dogs are free to roam about the house and we go into the yard several times a day to play and relax. Every entry/exit point in my home has a MINIMUM of two doors to the outside and I take keeping animals contained very seriously. I have indoor and outdoor cameras that cover the front, back, and side yards. My yard is fully fenced and the backyard contains no plants that are poisonous to animals. All dogs are separated during mealtimes and when I have to leave for their safety. I achieve this by baby-gating dogs who are not destructing and not used to be crated into rooms when I leave and crating dogs who are accustomed to being crated. I also have cameras to monitor in all rooms where dogs are separated and a monitored alarm system and monitored smoke detectors. When visiting a client home I take all precautions to ensure doors are closed and locked and dogs are contained. I follow owner directions for how to care for their pets and am never afraid to ask questions or for clarifications.

Information Brandi H. would like to know about your pet

Because consistency is so important for animals I do my best to tailor my care to your pet’s needs and routines. This requires that you give me a rundown of your pup’s schedules, routines, medical needs, preferred walking routes and parks, social skills, favorite toys/games/treats, and any other pertinent info!

A typical day

I live in a house with an enclosed yard. The exit fences are double-gated to make it extra hard for a pup to sneak out, and I am always supervising them directly when they are out in the yard. Dogs are allowed on ALL FURNITURE (except the kitchen table), so they're free to lounge on beds and sofas. However, if owners prefer I keep dogs off furniture I can accommodate that. There are multiple pet beds scattered around the house for easy snoozing, and several baby gates so that I can give a dog who needs a little alone time their own private space. Also, I keep a doggy stroller on hand for more senior dogs who want to go on walks but aren't really able to. This way they can ride and catch the view and enjoy the sunshine without exhausting themselves. My schedule is fairly flexible, so what we do will depend on what your pup’s typical schedule looks like. If the dog is staying in my home we will typically spend some morning time in the yard, have breakfast, and then they can settle down with me on the sofa while I do some computer work. We do regular potty breaks outside and often have extended outdoor time in the evening when the weather is nice. My dogs are also happy to play with guests, so a lot of that time is spent with all the pups wrestling and playing with toys. If I'm watching the pup at their home, I work from the schedule you give me. When I get there we do a walk to stretch their legs and get some exercise, any feeding or grooming, then play/cuddle time.

Taking care of animals is my full-time job, so it's ALWAYS my top priority. I do take care of animals that are not in my home, so during the day I often have to head out and check on pets. Because of this and personal commitments, please know that I cannot provide 24/7 pet care in any capacity, but taking care of animals is what I do, and I do it well.
