3 stars because our dogs adored her. Braelyn has cared for our pups before and everything was fine. However, during these past few days, her attention to detail was truly lacking. While in her care, our 2 younger pups got into a fight (which perhaps could have happened to anyone). However, her interpretation of our smaller pups injures was way off. She texted “ the puppies just had their first fight with me ☹️ it got kind of ugly. they fought for around 5 minutes over food; they both have some tears of their ears and heads but it doesn’t look like anything too serious.” Since I was out of town, all I could do was commiserate and worry. When our dog trainer/behavioralist arrived the following morning we got a call immediately. Apparently, the smaller of the 2 pups was hurt very badly, and his face and swollen neck was covered in caked dried blood. His ear was torn as well necessitating an emergency trip to our vet. Thank goodness our trainer/behavioralist could bring our little guy! A few thousand dollars later, our pup was on his way home after his much needed care and attention. He returned home with specific wound care instructions as well as a medication regimen, which both my husband and I shared with Braelyn. She gave the meds ok (we think) but failed to follow the wound care instructions at all, and left his ear dressing/cover on all day, rather than removing it for a few hours, as the instructions stated. In the pics sent at the end of the day, a photo of our smallest pup rolling around in the backyard on his back, scratching his head (and newly repaired ear) in the dirt was included. 🤦‍♀️ After I returned home that evening, and I removed the smallest pup from his crate, his crate pad was soaking wet with urine, which had leaked onto the floor into a longstanding puddle. Even at this point, I still wanted to give Braelyn the benefit of the doubt because she seemed like such a kind and caring person. Later that evening we were searching through our camera footage trying to see what set off the pups, when I noticed an unfamiliar person in our home. Looking further I found this person was at our home most days and seemed to arrive with Braelyn. When I asked her if she knew this person, she said “yes that’s my boyfriend!” So, the reason for her recent lack of attention to detail became clearer. I had never given permission for a stranger to enter our home in our absence, and that was really the last straw. The poor judgement she showed in caring for our pups (regarding the severity of our smallest pups injuries) was only outweighed by the lack of respect for us and our home by inviting someone that we did not know when no one was there. She did an outstanding job the first time she cared for our pups, but this time I feel that we’re so lucky, because things could have been so much worse.

Braelyn was great with Tonka! She provided daily pictures of their outings, brought her to the dog park, and gave Tonka cuddles (her fav). Thanks again for taking such good care of her!!!
