Pet care experience
As a dog owner myself, I understand what it's like to leave your pet behind. It's so important to feel like your house and four legged friends are in good hands. I pride myself on maintaining good communication with my clients so they can rest easy and enjoy their time away. I'm a caring and trustworthy animal lover with many years of experience house and pet sitting. I'm a student at The University of South Florida and am looking to make a little extra money doing something that I love. Before moving to Dunedin a few months ago, I was a private nurse and took care of a young quadriplegic man and his dogs in his home for 3 years. I'm capable of dealing with animals of all sizes and can even administer medications if needed. I grew up with animals -- all kinds of animals. My grandparents ran an Airedale rescue, and, besides more ordinary household pets, my parents had a llama called Eleanor and a monkey called Roo. Our farm had emus, horses, cows, goats and chickens, too. Also, I had a summer job with a dog groomer when I was a kid. I used to be an ICU nurse, but I’m back in school three days a week. Other than that, I have plenty of time to spend with dogs. I love watching dogs learn, develop and interact with what’s around them, and I love meeting other dog owners. I’m looking forward to making two-legged and four-legged friends!

I think everyone is happier, especially the dogs, when I know what the expectations are. My first questions will be about feeding, medications, training, and any areas in the home that are off limits. If the dog has a training regimen to keep up, or commands to use, we’ll work on that. I’ll be curious to know how your dog gets along with other dogs and people. Let me know what exercise needs your dog has, and what favorite games to play. I have known a lot of dogs through the years and get along with them easily.
A typical day
I’m a runner, and if your dog likes to run, well, the more the merrier. I’m a cyclist, too, and will bring along a dog who is up for a serious workout. For more laid back pups, strolls around the neighborhood, leisurely trips to the dog park or a beach excursion are fun, too. I’ll be sure to keep to your dog’s routine, and offer plenty of playtime with favorite toys and games. I also make sure owners get plenty of updates and pictures while they’re away from their dog.
