Lara and I are animal lovers who both grew up with numerous pets. We both actively volunteer and foster for multiple rescue organizations in the Phoenix area, but are most involved with the Arizona Animal Welfare League. We really enjoy spending time with all the great pups we get to dog-sit for! We have a lot of green-space in our apartment complex's yard, a bike path and park right out back, and we enjoy the occasional weekend trip to the dog park. When the weather is nice out, we love to take the dogs on hikes, too. Last year we adopted a local rescue dog from the Arizona Animal Welfare League. He is a shy Australian Shepherd/Australian Cattle Dog who loves to be outside! He's done really well with every dog we've dog-sat for, but does get anxious around bigger and energetic dogs, so smaller, lower-energy dogs are typically best for our living situation. Large energetic dogs usually do not do well with our dog during meet-and-greets. We'd be happy to set up a meet-and-greet to see if our dogs will get along before booking a stay. We've also recently adopted a 2nd dog from AAWL, who is a very friendly, playful cattle dog mix (about 30 lbs). She gets along great with every dog and person she meets.
