Pet care experience
Recently lost my dog to cancer. I miss him but want to love other people’s dogs. Have had dogs 45 years. I love dog small and large. Have cared for 6 different litters of puppies. Had to tube feed some and gave quality care, all turned out very healthy. I am retired nurse. Home a lot. Work only couple days a month. I have large grass yard and large shaded patio. I large dog door. My house is set up with 2 gates which is safer so dogs cannot run out front door. Front door leads to gated area. I like going for walks and to parks. I have recently lost my dog to cancer. He was a great dog. I love being with dogs and want to continue watching other peoples dog. And give my love to them. Dogs allowed on furniture and bed. Would give them loving care as I would my own. I have lots of dog toys.I throw ball or frisbee in my yard. If you have a senior dog I do not want to watch a dog older than 12 years old it just seems too risky to me.If a senior dog I would like them to be in good shape ,healthy.I can go for walks mostly every day.Cannot watch a dog with aggression. No pit bull or pit mixes.

Bonita was so helpful she made me feel reassured that Koji would be alright. She would send daily updates and photos, took him on long walks and even coached Koji on how to use the doggie door. He did it twice! We were gone for almost a week and had no doubt in my mind that he was safe and relaxed. Would recommend, and plan on rebooking again in the future.

I have a large dog door and I go out with the dogs if they don’t know how to use it .I take them outside frequently if I have to go away for an extended period in the day . They must be use to crate. I do crate them I have a large dog crate .If they are good dogs I can just leave them in the house. After I am with them a few days I usually know if they will be ok outside kennel. The goal is the safety of your pet and I want it to be happy so a lot of times it depends on the dog. We do take walks every day. I have a lot of dog toys in the backyard I love to give the dogs I watch special attention like belly rubs let them sit on my lap to pet them. We can go to dog park or hike at mountain preserve. If They can sleep on the bed with me or in their own bed.I am not gone long usually.The gates all have locks on them.Small dogs I am always with them when they are in back yard. I do not watch aggressive breeds. Will not watch pit bulls , or pit mixes. I can do a mellow large dog. It would be determined on meet and greet.Would like you to be honest about the dog’s disposition and any problems it has.

I WOULD LIKE TO KNOW WHEN THEY EAT. IF THEY LIKE SLEEPING ON BED OR FLOOR . I WOULD LIKE TO KNOW WHAT FUN ACTIVITY THEY LIKE. WOULD LIKE TO KNOW IF THEY HAVE ANY PROBLEMS OR ARE ANXIOUS ABOUT CERTAIN THINGS. IF THEY CAN BE LEFT ALONE FOR EXTENDED PERIOD OF TIME. DO THEY HAVE ANY AGGRESSION TO FOOD OR OTHER ANIMALS.DO THEY HAVE ANY BAD HABITS LIKE CHEWING THINGS. DO THEY HAVE SEPARATION ANXIETY.ANY MEDICAL PROBLEMS.
A typical day
I LIKE TO WALK AROUND NEIBORHOOD THRU MOUNTAIN AREA TO PARK. WE CAN GO TO DOG PARK IF THATS WHAT YOU LIKE. ALSO LIKE TO GO TO NORTH MOUNTAIN PARK. I HAVE A LOT Of TOYS BALLS FRISBEE STUFFED ANIMALS. IF THEY LIKE WATER PLAY I CAN ENTERTAIN THEM WITH THE HOSE.

I am home a lot since I only work a few times a month.I would need more than a week notice from you so I can not work and just be with your dog. I only work about 1 day a week and can be gone 9 to 10 hours so I would rather not work when watching dogs. I enjoy other peoples dogs ,playing with them in the yard. Can throw ball or frisbee. I really love being with new dogs. I like going for long walks in the morning. Can go to dog park or hike mountain. When I work they would have to be alone about 9.5 hours and be able to use dog door. Cannot watch a dog that gets stressed when left that long unless they can be in kennel cage I have that’s very large in the house. If I know far enough ahead of the day your dog is coming I would just not work during time I watch your dog. Would not be able to watch a dog with behavior problems or high energy.
