Pet care experience
Hi there! I’m no stranger to caring for dogs that aren’t mine, having fostered 20+ dogs in the last few years for various shelter and rescue organizations. I’m a registered volunteer at the shelter and help with freedom rides and photography for a few different orgs. I would like to think I’m more cautious than most when it comes to caring for a new dog. I practice common sense I.e. always feed dogs separately, do not let unknown dogs approach fosters or my dog, double leash a dog if he/she is a flight risk, etc. I’ve fostered medical case dogs, as well as dogs going through heart worm treatment. Dogs have always been apart of my life and family, and I can't imagine my life without a pet! I grew up with 4 bird dogs who required a ton of training and stimulation. When I started working at an office that allowed dogs, I knew it was the perfect time to get a puppy of my own. Fast forward to seven years later, my 55 lb Summer girl is happy, healthy, and thriving. I know how crucial socialization, regular exercise, and stimulation are for a dog's emotional and physical well-being. Personally, getting outside and caring for a furry friend are two of the easiest morale boosters. I look forward to getting to know you and your pet!
Reviews
My dog is obsessed with Blythe and her pup Summer! They brighten up every week we get to see them! Not only is Blythe patient and loving with my playful pup, but truly she could be a professional photographer with her pup pics!
Blythe was the best with my girls ❤️
Blythe was sooo sweet with our energetic pup. Since he can be skiddish around new people, Blythe made sure to go at his pace and they became fast friends! We feel so lucky to have found her!
As a veterinarian, I am very careful with who I have watch my dog. Blythe is not only extremely trustworthy, but my dog genuinely loves spending time with her! She is very observant and quick to update me with any changes in my dog's activity, personality, or appearance. And Blythe takes great pictures! I would trust her with my pet anytime.

I want to minimize disruptions for your pup i.e. maintain their existing routine as much as possible! I practice common sense and don’t greet other dogs on leash when walking. It’s just not worth the risk. I exercise caution when getting them in and out of the car. I know the importance of proper introductions, and feeding separately. When working with a fearful pup, I tend to double leash them if possible for safety purposes. I know the importance of collarless play and being collarless when crated/alone. Houston summers are no joke; please let me know if you’re dog is especially sensitive to the heat so we can minimize time outside. **I do not use retractable leashes** By booking with me, you acknowledge I will not walk your dog with a retractable leash.

Information Blythe M. would like to know about your pet
Please let me know if your dog is leash, stranger, or dog reactive. I don't have any breed preferences- my dog is breed ambiguous herself! Does your dog have any triggers? Any resource guarding? How would he or she greet a dog sitter entering the home? What is their feeding schedule? Do they have any tendencies I should be aware? i.e. chewing shoes, barking excessively, etc.
A typical day
I'm all about setting boundaries, honoring your preferences, and doing what will make you and your pet happiest and most comfortable. I've used pet sitters/ boarding and love regular updates/photos, so I'd certainly extend the same courtesy to you. Your pup and I will get our steps in together on walks and keep you posted before and after!

Pet care is already engrained in my schedule thanks to my own dog. We normally do 2 quick daily walks, a potty break or two, and enrichment activities are always great, too!
