Pet care experience
I have worked for a dog trainer as an apprentice, I have worked with my own private clients, and I have just pitched in and helped friends take care of their dogs in place of sending their dogs to the kennel. I'm comfortable with all breeds and sizes and have worked with formerly abused dogs, high risk dogs and family-friendly low maintenance pups. Happy to connect over the phone/facetime/in person as well

Blake is the best!! He's the only friend I trust to walk my dogs. They're both very high energy breeds, and he has been the only one who can successfully handle them, tire them out, and keep them happy. Blake is both a good person and a good dog person; I highly recommend him.
I got 2 puppies within 2 weeks of each other. I was overwhelmed by all of their energy and with trying to train them at the same time. When Blake came over, he handled them with love and respect, gentleness and firmness, energy and confidence. I've never seen them so responsive, obedient, and attentive. He truly has a way with dogs, and I've become better with my dogs simply by watching how Blake interacts with them.

I have a small grassy area on our apartment property, but it is only partial fenced in. I do live right next to the Magnolia Park which is a great place to take your pup for some exercise. Depending on where you live, we can discuss the best places near you to take your dog.

Information Blake W. would like to know about your pet
If your dog is a rescue, any and all information you have on family/previous owner history is much appreciated. Of course any known triggers, behavior issues, bizarre patterns, etc. Please let me know how social your dog is. What is there history with other pets/animals/kids/adults, etc Not all dogs are extroverts and I always want to honor the dogs personality and not make assumptions. The level of activity the dog is accustom to. While I love being active I know not all dogs can sustain walks more than 30 minutes and I don't want to push any dog past their comfort level.
A typical day
I am a big hiker and avid beach goer. I love to camp, and be outdoors. If i'm taking care of your dog you can be sure they will get exercise and have a very engaged, present set of eyes on them at all times.

Availability
I am currently very flexible. I work from home but am currently on hiatus and looking for some part time work. I love dogs and am currently raising my own little Jack Russell Terrier. I'm a former athlete and love being outdoors so we will make sure to get your pup some exercise!
