Dog Trainer - Certification Pending

Pet care experience

After falling in love with and rescuing two dogs, I enrolled them in training and saw an impeccable impact on their behavior. After working with my trainer, I realized that a career in dog training is my passion and promptly enrolled in CATCH Academy to become certified. This program emphasizes force free training methods that I will implement in your home. In addition to working towards my certifications, I just love spending time with dogs. I will enjoy walking and dog sitting your dog to practice learned training methods, and to experience as many situations as possible before I become certified in Dog Training Knowledge. I currently work closely with my mentor who is CPDT KA certified. I am well equipped to handle a variety of situations, breeds, and have an experienced voice to turn to for advice.

From the first time I met Blake it was clear she has a passion for dogs. She began working with my 6 month old male pit mix, King. He was struggling with basic obedience, leash etiquette and had severe seperation anxiety from his litter mate. King was a little shy and weary of Blake at first but they quickly became best buddies. After a few training sessions, King was a new dog on his leash and his manners were coming along nicely. He also learned place with Blake and loves beng in her company, working on his skills, training and confidence. Since working with Blake, it is now enjoyable to walk King. He walks right next to my leg, never pulling or jumping. We walk together, when I stop, he stops and sits right away. I am proud of the great progress he has made because of his training with Blake. Next Blake will be working with King's litter mate Queenie and our newest family member, Jackie, a rescued pit mix. She needs work with basic obedience and leash etitquete along with some emotional and axiety issues we are working on. I know with Blakes expertise and training, both of my girls will catch up to King quickly! Thank you for your love for the pit bull breed and your passion for dogs! It truly is a pleasure to work with someone who genuinly cares about the well being of the dogs she is working with!

Blake is extremely experienced and qualified in caring for dogs. I have known her for many years, and I have seen her work with dogs of all sizes and temperaments, from highly energetic Yorkshire terriers to her own American Boxer Bulldog rescues, and many other canines in between. She is loving, warm, and knows exactly how to handle fears, stressors, and excitement in dogs with a calm and firm hand. She has had experience working for dog trainers, as well as making sure her own dogs are well-trained, and is currently studying to become a trainer, so your pup will be in qualified hands. I absolutely would trust my dog with Blake, and know that they would be exceptionally well-cared for and loved, as well as receiving positive reinforcements in their training. I highly recommend her.

Blake T is responsible, compassionate, and smart. Blake understands what dogs need in order to be safe, will be respectful of owners needs, and make sure the dogs she cares for will benefit from the experience. Blake is well-trained and continues to learn through rigorous coursework specific to dog training and care. Blake has taken care of my dog for both long and short trips and has done a fantastic job. It is easy to tell the difference between the care Blake provides and those someone else provides when we have needed care and could not schedule Blake. I always prefer it when Blake cares for my dog as he is always happy while we are away and there is no fracture in the day-to-day life of my dog when Blake is there. Having Blake is far better than anything else I have ever experienced and when Blake is there to care for my dog, is just like we never left.
