When I wear green, my friends joke I’m the Jolly Green Giant. This is because I’m pretty tall, 6 ft. 3 and I’m just a big softie. People always call me a gentle giant over the years. I’ve “owned” and loved dogs since I was a kid, but I don’t believe I own these animals. They’ve come into my life and now I have to love and protect them because their love, their joy, their loyalty, their goodness are truly priceless. My wife and I feel like there can never be too many dogs around! Who can’t say yes to more love? I'm free most of the time and my wife will be around in the evenings to help too. We’re pup parents to our two fur babies: a one-year-old and three-year-old Dachshund mixes. They’re quirky, friendly, and happy, and we absolutely adore them––they really are our children and we always strive to be better parents to them. They really enjoy the company of other dogs and animals in general too. More the merrier, really. We live in a one-story house with tile and laminate so accidents are no problem. Our yard is a really big (9500 sq ft) lot, and is fully fenced. It's also cleaned regularly––it’s really set up to accommodate temporary guests! After having trouble finding a dog sitter for my two dogs, I stumbled upon Rover. I thought it was a great idea and since I work from home and set my own hours, I thought it would be a great fit for me. My wife and I love dogs and would be happy to have more around us. My wife and two dogs will also be helping me watch over our guests. My wife loves dogs and if we could handle it she would adopt 100 puppies––no lie! She has lots of experience dog sitting for friends and family. Our two dogs love going to the dog park and meeting new friends. They will definitely enjoy dogs coming over to play. Your dog will feel loved when they are with us. We are also super flexible and adaptable to your own pup’s needs and desires. If they are senior dogs or special needs dogs that like to be more alone to relax and contemplate, then we are happy to keep our dogs separated from ours, no problem. We respect everyone’s boundaries in our house, but our love and admiration for dogs will be constant and universal. I'm a big guy with a big heart and it seems I get more respect from dogs, especially big dogs. I walk the dog not the other way around not to sound alphadog about it. Bad pun alert. I think working from home is a big advantage in being a dog sitter. Dogs and their owners will love how much time and love I have to offer. I can play with the dog all throughout the day and they will love my sprawling backyard. I love playing golf and being at the dog park with my dogs. I’m a simple kind of guy––I'm happiest when I'm with my wife and our two dogs, hanging out and taking it easy. I've had dogs since I was a kid, both large and small, from a 13-lb Dachshund to a 110-lb Lab. I've been the go-to dog sitter in my group of friends and family for many years. I've had both puppies and aging dogs in my life, and understand the level of care both need.
