UPDATE ► ► ► As of 7/23/21 I will no longer be accepting new clients in metro Phoenix. I will only be offering house sitting and drop in visits for my REPEAT CLIENTS. As I have told many of you, I am retiring to my house in San Felipe Mexico. I am available anytime for caring for your dog, but since it is a 6 hour drive for me your request has to make financial sense. In the past I have owned a Collie for 17 years, a Labrador Mix for 7 years, a Golden Retriever Mix for 7 years and two Miniature Schnauzers for 11 years. Now, I am without any dogs. CALENDAR AVAILABILITY☺ ☺ ☺ The Rover calendar only shows if I am available for new bookings beginning that day. At the time of your request, I will respond with my availability. Feel free to contact me by phone or via Rover. TIPPING☺ ☺ ☺ Rover started beta testing the addition of a tipping option on their website on October 1, 2020 for select cities. Phoenix was recently added FREQUENT FLYER MILEAGE☺ ☺ ☺ Alaska Airlines and American Airlines offer bonus credits and/or mileage credit for each dollar spent with Rover. Please check their websites for details. DROP-IN VISITS☺ ☺ ☺ I offer both 30 and 60 minute drop-ins. Prices on Rover are per visit per day. This is a great option while you are away, for your dog to get exercise, be let out back to take care of their business and get fed. Since all of your dogs are familiar with me, I would just need your address and directions for feeding and home entry. HOUSE SITTING☺ ☺ ☺ Best option for many dogs, as I would be staying at your house where they are most comfortable. All I would really need is directions for home entry, feeding, sleeping arrangements and in-home internet access (if available).

We will only leave town IF we can get Blaine as our dog sitter. He stayed in our home and when we came back, the house was cleaned, and the dogs happy. HE IS GREAT!

Blaine’s service is exceptional. He was attentive to every need and made things as familiar and comfortable for both my dogs. I was nervous leaving both my dogs for the first time, but the communication and continuous updates were great so I was able to enjoy my time away. You can tell he loves what he does and really cares for the dogs, which is exactly the kind of person I want watching my pups! I can’t imagine using anyone else now that we have had Blaine care for our dogs.
I was very pleased with Blaine as Penny's caregiver while we were away. He sent pics and videos everyday. I could tell she was well cared for by her relaxed attitude when we got home. THANK YOU BLAINE!

When it is time for your dogs to go outside and take care of their business, I go with them and I won't just let them out the doggie door to be on their own. I prefer that we exercise and play in your backyard and not leave the security of your house to go take them on a walk...but will do so if you think it will be a safe environment.

Information Blaine T. would like to know about your pet
HEALTH: Please advise when they ate last, in addition to any recent case of illness (diarrhea, vomiting, etc). VETERINARIAN: Please print out the contact information for your vet and include it with their shot information. If your vet requires a consent form for me to bring your dog in for treatment, please complete and include that also. Please make sure I have a contact name and telephone number of a family member or friend of yours, who will provide transportation to/from your vet. I will provide care for your dog(s) once they are discharged through the end of your original booking. SHOTS: Vaccinations and license must be current (printed proof required). DOG KENNEL: Sometimes there are unforeseen occasions that require me to leave your dog unattended. If I am watching your dogs and it is best I put them in your kennel please let me know where that is so I can provide a safe and secure setting that they are comfortable with, when by themselves. This will prevent having to leave them out in the backyard or locked up in a room during my limited absence. JUMPING: Is your dog(s) allowed in the kitchen at home? Please advise me if they tend to put their paws up on the counters looking for food, paper, etc. I don't want them to digest something that could be harmful to them. CHEWING: Is chewing your dog's favorite past time? If so, please let me know ahead of time. FEEDING: Written instructions are the best way to make sure everyone's belly is full. The times fed and amounts given, keeps them on their "at home" schedule. If your dogs need to be separated at eating time please let me know. If you regularly provide them with snacks, please also include that in your instructions. If due to their new temporary human, they have chosen to go on a hunger strike and are not eating, please advise what you might add to their food to entice them to eat. SLEEPING: Please advise if your dog(s) sleeps on the floor, in a kennel or on the human bed. If they have a favorite doggy bed or blanket don't forget to let me know where that is at. FEMALE DOGS: If any of your females are in heat at the time of your request, please advise me.
A typical day
If your dogs have a few favorite toys hanging around the house or yard, please make sure and show me their location and let me know their favorite hiding spots if I can't find them!!

I am retired (and living in San Felipe Mexico) and available to care for your dogs whether it be dropping in, or staying overnight at your house. I have a family member located in Buckeye with whom I will stay if you'd like me to just drop in on your dogs.
