I grew up in a household that always had pets. At the age of 18 I adopted my first dog named "Frieda". She was an American Stanford Shire Terrior that was not overly friendly with other dogs but with much training she became unlikely friends with my girlfriends miniature dauchund "Soffi" and eventually loved to play with other furry friends. . Unfortunately Frieda is no longer with us but Soffi is and is now a little big sister to our puppy Rico. Rico is a rescue from the Sato project where stray dogs from Puerto Rico are brought to the US for adoption. Rico had a broken leg at the time when we found him and had to undergo surgery. The surgery was successful but we had to work hard to get Rico back in shape. He could not put weight on his leg for 2 weeks and had to be walked with a sling. He now is running swimming and we r greatfull to have him in our family. If your dog takes medication, has special needs, or just wants a friend to play with I would love to meet them.
