They eventually gave in, but under one condition: he would be my responsibility. His name was Kiwi, and he was my first ever pet. I walked him every morning before heading to school, often before the sun came up. I was also in charge of his walks in the afternoon and for feeding him every day. From a young age, I’ve understood my responsibilities as a dog owner. Today, I take care of dog, Nala, and she is the light of my life. She relies on me for everything in her life, and I make it a point to be the best dog mom I can be for her. Dogs give us so much love and joy, and I feel grateful to be able to experience that through my sweet girl Nala. I also have experience taking care of other people’s animals. Over the past 15 years, I’ve dog sat for several family friends, often for weeks at a time. I have taken care of dogs, cats, and even hamsters, fish and more. And since joining Rover, I've had several new clients as well.
