I’ve grown up with cats and dogs and I’ve had two cats of my own when I was married the first time. My present husband isn’t okay with me having a pet as he knows who will have to do walks in the bad weather and that’s not fair to him. I currently have tropical fish of my own and he looks after them more than me. I’ve done some pet sits so far and looked after two outdoor cats twice, one in Masham and the other in Darwen with my husband. I’ve done a sit for a labradoodle called Max who was adorable and Bailey a Lhasa Apso who was a little sweetie. Both these were in Harrogate. I’d prefer to do dog sits in the warmer months if they need taking out for exercise and ablutions as I’m a fair weather bird. I’ve also looked after my daughter’s two in-indoor cats and she now has a Fox Red Labrador too, for the weekend, which was quite an experience. I also looked after her for two days a week when they had to go back in the office but that just got a little too much for me. I did look after her again when they went on honeymoon in July/August last year for a week. We will be looking after them again in May while they go to a wedding in Italy for a week. Just confirming that I’d rather not do puppies as they need constant attention and are very tiring. I’m unable to have pets of my own so want to look after other people’s and get to have a change of venue along with it. I’d love to look after your pet in their own home, somewhere they’re used to and happy in. I wouldn’t have them in my home as I’ve said it should be somewhere they’re used to. They should also have their own designated sleeping area at night which isn’t human beds and be house trained. I don’t have any grandkids yet and have a lot of love to give to peoples pets.
