Pet care experience
Hi! Ive been working as an occupational therapist for over 15 years during which many years I worked in home health. So, going into someone’s home comes natural to me. I have been around animals all my life. I’ve had pets most of my life!! Our last dog, a 16 yr old Shih Tzu, was a family member. He went everywhere with us!! We travel now to see grandkids a few times a year, so we don’t feel we could care for another one, but pet sitting would really fill a void in my life!

Betty Jean took great care of our dog and our cat. She kept us informed with texts and pictures. We came home to happy pets and like no one was even at our house. It is so reassuring leaving an elder pet when you know they are well taken care of and happy.
My two dogs were very well cared for by Betty Jean. She kept me up to date on how they were doing which I really appreciated. I would certainly use Betty Jean again in the future.
5 Star Experience!! Our sweet old kitty is over 18 years old, so leaving her in this delicate state for over 10 days with a "stranger" worried me. Once I met Betty Jean I knew she would be in good hands and I could relax. Betty Jean went above and beyond to follow my instructions to a T - maybe even better than I do :) You can rest assured Betty Jean will take care of your furry friends as she would her own. She was communicative, reliable, and sweet and I thank God she joined Rover.com just when I needed her.
Betty truly cares about the people and animals she interacts with. You will rest easy knowing your companion is truly taken care of. Betty is honest, courteous, kind and thoughtful.

I’d be there as needed for you, and would certainly call anytime there was a question or issue. I work hard and would follow all instructions. I currently have a 17 yr old cat I’ve had all his life who is very healthy and happy. I brush him daily and feed him prescribed food. I’m not worried about having to take your pet to a vet, etc for any special care or emergency.

A typical day
I’d love to play with your friend whatever games he likes to play, let him go for a good walk and smell his favorite spots! We could find a park, a favorite tree or just play in your yard!

Availability
I’m active and healthy and have no problem walking and playing inside or outside with your pet. I even take weekly horse back riding lessons. I would love to care for your horses too!! I can feed, water, groom, or even just give them some love!! I’m willing and able to muck out the stall, etc as needed.
