Pet care experience
My family has loved West Highland White Terriers since I was a little girl. They require a lot of TLC and do best when someone is with them full time so I’m fully trained by our Westies to be a very attentive dog owner ;) My fiancé and I currently have a VERY friendly Westie boy that loves to play with all dogs, so I’m excited to meet and care for dogs in the Boston area for my own fun, and for him to enjoy meeting new friends. We just moved to the Boston area from Seattle so he’s eager to have more playmates to go for walks with. I work full-time with a fair bit of flexibility in a career that I love. I’ve watched pups of all ages on Rover since 2020, and really enjoy the opportunity to help other dog owners out when they’re looking for additional support. I love walking dogs (regardless of what the weather is like) and I’m comfortable with dogs of all sizes and ages.

Betsy was a great sitter for my pup! She sent many photos and videos of him and her dog Reggie. They got along really well and I was happy to know my dog was in great hands and having fun. I would definitely hire her again!

It was a pleasure to meet Betsy. She is very personable and our dog took to her right away. Her home is very adaptive to a visiting pet and there are plenty of good walking spots nearby. We dropped our pet off with her before our flights and while we were at dinner we decided to cancel our planned trip to Hawaii. We were packed and ready to go but several family reasons caused us to make this last minute decision. We notified Betsy and she was very accommodating. We will definitely try to use her the next time we need a Rover home for our pet.

We go for walks around the many parks around our apartment along Lechmere Canal. We have two off leash parks within walking distance and we go to one of them at least once a day. Happy to house sit for dogs of all sizes. If a dog needs boarding, we can only invite a small dog into our home at this point in time.

Any special needs or concerns about the dog at the time? Does the dog have favorite areas to walk, run or play with other dogs? No breed preference for walking but for dog sitting multiple nights a smaller breed is preferred.
A typical day
There’s lots of parks within a block or two from my apartment. We’ll walk all around the waterfront parks and run outside if a puppy needs to burn off a little extra energy :)

Availability
I have a flexible work schedule and can take 60 minute walk breaks at least 3 times a day. We feed our dog twice a day and provide treats and chews as rewards for good behavior. Lots of play time is inevitable because our Westie pup insists on it.
