LOVE ABOUNDS!!

Pet care experience

Dogs = Unconditional Love ♥️ I am a pet lover at heart and after raising many types of animals, I've learned that my deepest joy is working with DOGS! I started caring for animals of many types when I was just 7yrs old. As an adult I studied to be a dog trainer and I love to teach dogs when I'm with them. I've worked with many breeds & simply love to keep them happy, whatever that means FOR THEM. My own dog trained to be a therapy dog & both she & I have never met a dog we haven't connected with. Here's how one of my clients described my work with her babies: "The only reason I would not recommend Betsy is she might not be available to take care of my dogs. This woman is better than the dog whisperer - everytime she watches my two dogs they come home better behaved with some fun tricks to show off. She is seriously gifted - if she is available to sit for your dogs you are truly blessed." - Michelle L. of Carson City, NV My family & I work together to serve pets so it’s easy for me to be fully available for your furries!! Myself, my retired husband, and my 18yr old daughter (who was also trained as a dog trainer!!) work around my clients’ needs to be sure my travel schedule for house sitting gives your pet all the time they need. We also have a nocturnal caretaker to allows the availability for your early trip plans or unique travel needs too. Because of our triple-team service we are able to offer full-time care at a client’s home and still have daytime needs fulfilled for those busy people too! How? Bethany is a full-time house-care sitter while also doing daily check-ins to feed, play, and walk lonely dogs or visitors for daycare so our pets never outnumber us. Drew may assist to balance out the attentiveness for your bundle of love, however, we never surprise a pet. We always plan ahead with introductions & a home review. We keep you well informed with photos & updates for play time & cuddles while you’re away. 🦮 🐕 🐕‍🦺 🐩 I’d love the chance to schedule a meet and greet to discuss your plans and share how I will serve your needs for your pet. 🐶

Best experience! No matter what your needs are you are covered! My senior dog was thoughtfully cared for and I got excellent advice and tips. I would (and already have) highly recommend to anyone I know.

This was our first time using Bethany and she was fantastic!! Very professional and organized with getting best prepared by way of safety measures for her to stay with our babies. Her attentiveness to our babies gave us piece of mind during our travels. Couldn’t have been more pleased. She has already become a part of the family. Highly recommend!

FOR HOUSE SITTING: We have over a decade of experience working as a team and have learned how to balance travel schedules in order to provide FULL ATTENTION for your dog & your home when you book a house sitting with us. Bethany is the person to be at ANY house sitting booked. You can expect to meet Drew, my 18yr old daughter, simply to ensure that you know who she is since she may assist on a visit at some point, if only for a feeding time or such. 🌟 Drew may assist in order to insure that we meet the priority of your dog having a loving human for the majority of every 24hrs while you are away.🌟 REGARDING TRAINING EXP: I often will naturally train dogs on proper social behavior or minor tricks and my family & I have TONS of experience with dog language & pack mentality so we love bonding with new pets by using simple training exercises to communicate in a playful way with your dog while they are in our care. Please be sure to let us know what treats / food you may use for this type of experience or if they respond to a toy or cuddles best. When I care for your dog at your home we will have 2 meetings prior to your departure: 1- I meet you and discover your routine for your pet and expectations during your absence and allow your dog to learn I am your friend and 2- meet again immediately before your departure to retrieve keys and remind your pet of our friendship plus review last-minute details to assure proper service. I will follow your routine precisely, to the best of my ability, and I do NOT charge extra for ANY needs regarding your pet (such as exercise or medications) and any minor needs of your home, including monitoring mail, trash day, house plant care, and service appts. (I will not bathe your pet though!) ☺️ I also do not charge for these 2 meeting times. During the stay: I come fully prepared to care for myself, including bedding and food. I do NOT expect you to turn your home into an Air BnB for me!!! I am visiting to serve you and your pet, NOT the other way around. 😉 (I decided a long time ago that it was much easier to bring my own linens because it just cut down on my clean-up time for my exit & after Covid showed up I found it created more peace of mind for my clients.) I am very comfortable sleeping in the area WHEREVER your pet ends up being most comfortable while you are away- often this is the living room because you leave through the main door or garage door….I’m ok with this!! I will stay with them wherever THEY are needing me in order to feel assured of love, comfort, and connection. Upon my exit I will use your suggested cleaning products to clean your home as best as possible, leave your pet and keys as you direct me to, and attempt to leave your home better than I found it. I will stay with your pet up until the time you request (as possible) - most often my clients request I stay until the hour before their return time. If ANYTHING happens to your home while you are away that I find is unusual, I will take immediate action as needed, if appropriate, and attempt to be in contact immediately for your direction. Lastly, since having a visitor come to your home requires an extra level of trust and respect, I want to remind you that Rover insurance covers both of us, your pet AND your home 100% during a stay like this- your restfulness is guaranteed! IF REQUIRED beyond my Rover reviews, I am able to put you in touch with a reference or two of my past happy house-sitting clients…. They are willing to answer personal questions about my care-taking if you’d like to hear about the experience from someone who knows what it’s like to work with me. 😀 ✨🌟✨🌟✨🌟✨🌟✨🌟✨🌟✨🌟✨

Information Bethany L. would like to know about your pet

I like to schedule a meet & greet upon booking mainly for the dog to be able to get comfortable with me, but also to learn a few things about the dog and the home that may not be on Rover: - dog breed & size mannerisms (cannot be ‘felt’ on profile), - the dog’s routine of activity & owner’s daily habits the dog follows - pertinent medications, any injuries, or special needs, - home info AND destination (planning discussion) It’s important to know * I will not care for any dog with aggression issues * a puppy that is NOT potty trained * and I only weigh 115lb so I do not walk dogs over 100lb - it is simply unsafe… I will care for a larger breed dog IF they do not require an exercise routine I have a "checklist" page (one 8.5 x 11) I prefer to email clients to help jog your memory about what to remember to write down for me, tell me about or have ready for me if I'm visiting your home so it is much easier on my clients when preparing for an upcoming visit. It's a nice reminder list to use to be sure you won’t need to worry about whether or not you’ve forgotten any important detail related to the care of their precious family member. CATS —-> If you have a cat or two, I AM able to provide service for them as well IF they are fairly independent, meaning they are primarily in their own environment or outside often, or you are satisfied allowing my daughter, Drew to be the ‘cuddle-Buddy’ for your feline. I cannot sleep with or pet a cat- I am allergic to their skin oils. I can care for their general needs so I only charge a 1/2 fee for the “addition pet” fee & I WILL MODIFY THIS AFTER A BOOKING IS MADE. (The system doesn’t do it automatically.)

A typical day

I like to follow the pet owner's directives & habits for activities for your pet's routine. I try to match a dog's need for their "normal" daily experience as closely as possible so they feel very relaxed. I will play with a dog with their own toys as the owner does for any indoor or outdoor activity. I walk dogs in the neighborhood, or play in the yard daily. However, I prefer to never go to a dog park while a dog is in my care so I avoid unpredictable events with other dogs. ~ (FYI- I am approx 20min away from Cookeville.) ~ ~~~ TAXI SERVICES ~~~ I am happy to assist in getting your pet to & from here (or there!) My fee is only $5 per job for local taxi drive only. If the taxi drive is longer than 30min, then the fee is $5/30min of needed drive-time. EXAMPLES: #1— The drive to your home for house-sitting is 30min away: $10 fee ($5 each way) #2— The drive to your home is 1hr away: $20 ($5 per 30min, which is $10 each way) #3— Your dog is scheduled at the LOCAL groomer in Cookeville & you have no car; your dog just needs a safe, comfortable ride there & back: $10 ($5 each way) (These fees are not added ONLY due to gas & vehicle usage but also my time.) ~~~ I hope it’s clear & if not, please just ask! ~~~
