Pet care experience

Thanks for considering me to care for your friend(s)! It makes me so happy to be with pets of all sorts. I grew up looking after my family's mini menagerie of dogs, cats, horses, rabbits, birds, reptiles, fish and more. I love all animals, and this is reflected in my gentle & attentive care. I am currently sitting and walking in the Ann Arbor/Ypsi/surrounding areas. I graduated with my Master of Science degree in Ecology last spring, but after an unexpected TBI/neurosurgery in December 2022 and a long recovery, I am currently unable to work in my field. The nature of my TBI makes movement essential to my recovery! Regular walks will boost my recovery AND benefit your pup(s)...feeding two birds with one scone as I like to say. I have experience with all sizes of dogs and many breeds, and currently sit for retrievers, pitties, small terriers & toys, shepherds, greyhounds, beagles and more (those are just the dogs...I've even cared for for hissing cockroaches, tiger salamanders, pythons, and other exotic pets). I'll do it all, and make sure your pet has fun doing it - whether that means long walks and play, or just calm company at your home. If you have multiple pets - or pets besides dogs - even better! I hope I can meet them soon :)

Beth is awesome! She has cared for my dog and cat multiple times. Very reliable, trustworthy, and my boys love her.

Beth was fantastic! We hired Beth last-minute and she was still willing to come over on a Saturday morning to meeting our kitties. She was very communicative in advance and throughout her visit, coming on a consistent schedule, updating us with photos and fun stories about how they all were doing, and showing that she was really taking the time to be with them. She scooped their litter, kept their water topped off, and played with them which made us feel so at ease throughout our trip. Would highly recommend Beth to anyone! :)

Once you return prepare to have your dogs look at you with concern wondering why their good friend Beth isn't coming over anymore. Thanks again for your great care of our pets.

Beth stayed with our bulldog for one day/night because I was getting married. Beth came over to meet out dog before hand to make sure they would get along well. My dog is very shy and fearful of people since he is a rescue but Beth was wonderful with him. I felt confident that our dog would be taken care of and that I wouldn't have to worry about him. We will definitely be using Beth in the future!

At this time, my home is not available for pet stays. In your home, I will defer to your requests of course. I am clean, efficient, and have quite a green thumb, so I'm not opposed to looking after your plants, too :)

Information Beth W. would like to know about your pet

Please let me know if your dog has any special needs or behaviors that I should know about beforehand. For example: are they friendly in passing to other dogs? Are they friendly/gentle with children? Do they know certain commands that I should use? Etc.

A typical day

I love walking dogs in nature; some of my favorite spots are Bird Hills, Saginaw Forest, County Farm Park, and Mary Beth Doyle. If your pup enjoys a car ride and adventure, we will definitely have fun! If they're more into fetch/hanging out in their yard, I love that too.
