Friendly Neighborhood Pet Lover!

Pet care experience

Hello! I just moved to NYC after spending three years in CA in grad school, and I can't wait to meet your best furry friend!! I am a writer with an MFA in creative writing and a video gaming streamer, but where I have most experience in the service industry is with the good old four-legged doggo and kitty care industry! I have worked almost everywhere in the pet care sector, from dog walking for a private company serving regular, daily clients; caring for, feeding, and medicating cats (including injections and IV drips) in the feline department of an animal shelter; staying overnight in a doggy boarding facility; and taking out packs of up to 5 dogs for walking breaks between providing fun and care in the playroom at a small boutique doggy daycare in San Francisco. I am certified in emergency first aid and pet CPR through Pet Tech and have taken multiple courses in proper training and care techniques. I have worked with many many sizes, shapes, breeds, energy levels, and personality types of dogs and cats, from 110-pound shepherds to tiny toy doodles, and I've loved all of them! I have four(!!) cats myself and have a definite soft spot for providing kitty care visits so don't be shy to reach out regarding your pretty kitty! One of my babies has a rare neurological condition that requires daily medication, so I am no stranger to those rare special cases! I am available for on-demand walks, regularly scheduled walks, and in-your-home visits and boarding. I can't wait to meet you and your fuzzy buddy!

Beth is absolutely wonderful! She was my employee for years and was always on time, dependable, a hard worker & trustworthy. She was wonderful with the dogs & very experienced in dog walking, pet first aid, and using positive reinforcement. I know she’d be great with cats too just from our conversations about our own kitties. She really is a sweetie & has had so much training- you will not be disappointed

Beth was our regular dog walker for our Viszla, Max. She was great with him—always on time and gave him all the attention. We'd recommend her to all our friends for all canine-related needs!

Beth has been taking care of my pets off and on for over 8 years. She LOVES animals, and is really good with them. She's responsible, patient and knows what pets need. I will continue to have Beth watch my pets whenever I need to leave them!

Information Beth W. would like to know about your pet

I have no breed preferences or restrictions, but please note that I am relatively small in stature (5'0", 110lbs) so a dog over 100 pounds with a pulling issue may not be a good idea, for physics/inertia reasons. Please shoot me a message telling me all the special info you feel is relevant, from the dog's history reacting to strangers or other dogs, street triggers like loud noises, etc., habits like street crumb-scanning, and so on.

A typical day

I'd love to take your dog for a walk around the neighborhood, dog parks probably not because of the external unpredictable factors re: other dogs and liability issues.
