My family and I currently have a 10-year-old Shichon, Selah, & a Belgian Malinios German Shepherd mix, Dakota. Dakota is 1 1/2 and has grown up with little dogs. She adapts her play to the dogs she is with. She has been trained with impulse training and does not pester dogs that do not want to play. When we bought Selah, we encountered the problem of finding dog sitters until we found Rover.com. We had such a great experience with rover.com that we have decided to become even more of the family by dog sitting as well. I have lots of experience with animals. Growing up, I always had lots of pets, including dogs. In college, I volunteered for a wildlife rehabilitation center, cared for injured and orphaned wildlife, and was also a handler for the program animals. I have watched many dogs with special dietary and medical needs and am comfortable administering medicine. Why I love dog sitting We love getting to know all the different personalities of the dogs we watch. My sons have grown up with some of the dogs. Our home is like a second home to the dogs we watch. We love seeing the dogs eager to get to our door and spend time with us. It is a great lesson in entrepreneurship for my teenage sons. They help care for the dogs we watch. About my yard We have a large fenced-in yard (1/3 of an acre) with plenty of room for your dog to run around and play fetch. Dogs get frequent potty breaks, and when the weather is nice, they get to spend plenty of time outside playing. The dogs we watch are like our own dogs. We care for them like we do our own pups. We have a large fenced-in yard for them to play in, and they hang out with the family inside.
