Speciality and Emergency Vet Tech

Pet care experience

Let your fur baby stay in THEIR OWN HOME while being cared for by a veterinary technician who has worked in general, speciality and emergency veterinary hospitals. Fur babies who get to stay in their home are less stressed all while maintaining their (feeding, exercise, medication) schedule. I am proficient in all areas of medication administration from daily vitamin pill to chemo. The risk of being exposed to an illness is minimized when a pet gets to stay in their home vs going to a boarding facility. In addition to my professional veterinary experience, I am a volunteer puppy raiser for Canine Companions for Independence. What an honor it is to raise a puppy for this organization! I get a puppy at 8 weeks and for the next 18 months I am responsible for teaching them 30 basic obedience commands and socialization.

Great, took good care of my two doggies over christmas. They seemed happy and healthy when I returned.

Over the last 7 years, I've been fortunate enough to have someone like Beth to take care of my fur kids. She is loving, attentive and extremely knowledgeable regarding most pet situations, including moderate emergencies. Although my dogs are adorable, they can be quite difficult to handle. Beth is able to corral them and get them to comply and does it all with a calming voice and smile. Her commitment to dogs and their well being is evident in her involvement with the non-profit, Canine Companions for Independence. Over the course of 14 years she has taken part in raising and training dogs to work as service companions to those who need them. If you also consider her years of training and experience as a vet tech, you have an extremely competent and compassionate person who will care for your pets as though they were her own. Fantastic choice!

Beth is an animal lover like no other. I have known Beth now for over 20 yrs. There is no one I would ever trust more than her to care for my fur babies. All of my fur babies run to see her when she visits. She will love and care for your pet as if they were her own. She is very knowledgeable in pet care and I know I can always call her when I have a question about my pets health or if I am having a pet behavioral problem. I would highly recommend Beth to be your pet sitter. She would give your fur babies so much love an attention while you are away that you would consider her as family.

Beth Jerner would make a wonderful pet sitter/ walker . She has a great love and understanding of animals . I have known Beth for over 20 years and she is quite the expert on just about any animal questions I ask her . I always look to her for guidance on my sick animals or training issues for myself and others . She is totally involved in the Canine Companion program and volunteers tirelessly to raise and train puppy companions for people with disabilities or health issues . It takes a special love for animals and people to do what Beth does . Her purpose to help others and deal with the training it takes is beyond excellent . Beth would make an excellent pet sitter or walker , because she understands animals and knows how to care for them . We wouldn't hestitate at all leaving her in charge of our cat and dog if needed and she is also the kind of person that would be there to help us with our fur babies no matter what .

Information Beth J. would like to know about your pet

I would like to know if the dog has any allergies as well as any fears (storms, construction workers, other dogs, etc) Knowing things like this will help the dog have a better experience while their pack is away,

A typical day

This all depends on the wants and desires of the dog(s). If they are athletic then maybe a game of fetch is an order to help get those muscles going. If the dog prefers to stop and smell the roses - then a stroll around the neighborhood is better.
