Pet care experience
Thanks for considering me as your Rover sitter! A little about me: Since the age of 9, I’ve always had or cared for pets. We were the house with birds, fish, cats, dogs, horses, geese — you name it! I’ve personally owned cats (both shy and friendly), young energetic huskies, a stubborn Keeshond, and an old Yorkie whom I adopted in his senior years. I love caring for animals of all shapes and sizes, but I care deeply for senior dogs and especially want to love on them.

This was my first time using the Rover app. I was travelling to Madison for business conference, circumstances at the last minute required me to bring my dog, Callie with me. I feel so fortunate to have located Beth. She went above and beyond - she called me ahead of time to reassure me and discuss my needs for Callie (senior dog with health issues). We scheduled a meet and greet when I arrived in town and I knew immediately that Callie was in good care. Beth was on time, communicated with me (sending me lots of pictures which made me feel better), and the hotel staff commented on how wonderful she was with Callie. I highly recommend Beth and wish I lived in Madison so I could use her as our daily pet sitter. THANK YOU Beth for all you do for Callie which in turn allowed me to concentrate at the conference.
Great experience with Beth! We will definitely entrust our three dogs in her care again.
Beth did a fantastic job taking care of our dog Kona as well as our house while we were on vacation for 4 nights. She is responsible and communicative and was even willing to help water our gardens. We would absolutely book Beth again next time we need a sitter.

I own two dogs myself, but they will stay at home with my husband when I am at your place. I have experience administering pills and medicine (to dogs and cats) as needed and am open to pets in crates or in bed with me. If your dog uses the backyard, I will be monitoring to ensure no escape artists practice their act under my watch. I’m comfortable caring for your pet however is needed!

I would like to know of any sensitivities or quirks. Does your dog dislike butt pets? Let me know! Should they be fed a certain way to avoid food aggression? What are the policies about furniture and whether they can join me on the couch? Basically, I want to know how to care for your dog well and would need to know anything that could cause distrust between me and or pet.
A typical day
Aside from providing lots of cuddles and love, I also love playing tug-of-war, fetch, or going on walks. For booked walks, expect your pet to be moving/outside 90-95% of the time booked. We need a little buffer for getting in and out of the house and any food/water refreshes, but I like to try and tire your dog out by the time we’re home! For cats, I like to follow their lead. I enjoy cuddles or playtime but can respect distance and just hang out if they’re shy.

Availability
I unfortunately am no longer a remote employee, so I cannot guarantee constant care. However, if your pet is used to you being at work during the day, then I may be the fit for you! I am happy to provide drop ins or walks around my work hours (8am - 4:30pm) and/or stay the night with housesitting. I am limiting the number of clients I accept in order to give top-notch care during each visit.
