Wanna go for a walk?!

Pet care experience

I'm an active human looking for any four-legged friend who wants to tromp around the neighborhood with me! I recently fostered a beautiful standard poodle who found his forever home and I'm missing our many daily walks. I've learned so much during my foster time (proper training and patience for anxiety, how to be a confident leader for my dog, and positive reinforcement) and would love to share my experience while caring for your pup. My family in CO has dogs and love when Auntie Beth comes to visit because they get extra exercise and loves in their daily routine. My Seattle friends often call me to dog-sit or grab their furbaby for a run. Dogs are fascinating and I love learning their personalities. They have a language all their own and it takes us special humans to understand their ways of communicating. It's a beautiful world when you have a buddy who can share it with you. Now that I work from home, I have a very flexible schedule and love to take walks to break up the day. I also understand the importance of exercise in a dog's daily routine and advocate for that care. If you need the extra help, I'm here for you! I will always lead with my heart and understand the importance of being patient and kind. I also believe in positive reinforcement training with lots of healthy, high-value treats and praise. Structure is important for dogs. Once this is established, it's easy for them to follow directions and routine. I will provide a good routine and create a safe space for your pup which is paramount to having a healthy, happy dog. Communication is key in every relationship, including one with a dog. There is no shortage of sweet praise, scratches, and pets when they're with me!

Information Beth G. would like to know about your pet

Please let me know of any training you might be working on, if your pup needs special attention on walks, and any food allergies or diet restrictions. I want to make sure to give your pup the best care and attention so you can be confident leaving them with me!

A typical day

My days spent with a furry friend will start with a morning walk around the neighborhood then doggy breakfast and coffee for me. After some light chores, we'll head to the dog park or a fun hike through one of the local parks. We might visit a friend and pup for some afternoon hang time then it will be home for dinner. An evening walk to end the day will round it out then some couch cuddles while watching my favorite shows. Queen Anne has wonderful areas to change up the walks and I love going to the waterfront on Elliott Bay trail. The Arboretum and Discovery Park are lovely any time of year. I'm always open to new suggestions and will heed caution and advice for your unique pet.
