Raised on a small farm in western Washington with labs and retrievers and one border collie...and haven't been without at least one four paw family member since. As an adult - raised rescues (they taught me so much!), and continue today. Was associated with a small 'rescue team' on the gulf coast of Florida. That's how I came to know my latest rescue, a beagle, Toby Keith, who was pulverized by the previous "owner". It was a long stretch in and out of the hospital, PTSD/anxiety and building trust. He is now 10. So, I know finicky. I know (well) anxiety associated with separation and new environments. Patience and love and continuity in care seems to have worked so far over the many years. I am that person that people bring their dogs to visit; at work or at home. From little yappers to big Pyrenees and everything in between. Old and young. There is nothing as fabulous as a 'happy butt' and big smiles to mutually brighten every aspect of our day. Having used Rover.com myself, I understand picky. I'm picky. Not just anyone will do. It has to be a great fit. So, maybe it is raining and your four-paw friend doesn't like that, (mine doesn't either), but a full bladder hurts a lot. So, into the down pour for a quick relief and back in to towel dry and treats and smooches. Whatever the weather they still have to go and I totally get that. I am not a vet nor profess to be. I do recognize signs of illness and would not ever risk your pups safety nor health by disregarding these. I am taking a hiatus from 'organized employment'.
