I really love dogs. Ever since I was little, I've loved animals. When I was in elementary school I wanted to be a veterinarian – I would watch those gory emergency vet TV shows on Animal Planet during dinner, much to the concern and mild revulsion of my parents. I've since discarded my childhood dream of operating on animals – too much science for me – but my steadfast love for them hasn't once dwindled over the years. It's this love that led me to become a vegetarian. Dogs are friendly, loyal house pets. They are intelligent so they can provide services to people, such as working with police officers at airports searching bags for bombs and illegal drugs. Moreover, dogs can assist firefighters by sniffing out people trapped under rubble or those hidden behind flames of a fire. Dogs work as guards protecting families and their most valuable belongings. And on top of that, they are so cute!
