Pet care experience
I love exploring the world, moving my body, and dogs! Ever since I was a kid, I have had dogs in my life and in my home. The companionship between a human and a dog is unmatched. It is something special. When I am out walking with my family’s dogs and watching them enjoy sniffing and exploring and running and playing- -I am reminded how lucky I am to have fresh clean air to breathe, a body that moves, food to eat and a bed to sleep in every night. Dogs keep my reality grounded in gratitude. Getting my own dog three years ago nearly saved my life. I don’t know how I would be here without my boy Dezi. Nothing would make me happier than to give your dog the love and care it needs while you are away. I hope I can be not just a caretaker for your pet(s) but a friend to them as well. I pride myself in my accountability, vigilance, assertiveness, and playfulness. Looking forward to having a great adventure with your furry friend(s)! Also please note that I sometimes go by Benny which is why my reviews have both names

Maureen took care of my 3 year old cat, Ernie, over a weekend. Maureen was attentive and caring with Ernie. She made sure that all Ernie's needs were met and communicated directly with me about the care she was providing. Maureen is trustworthy, smart, knowledgable about pet care, and communicative. I would absolutely recommend Maureen to watch your pet!
They kept my fishes alive while I was away, and when they didn't know what to do they reached out instead of winging it! 11/10 would hire again!
Benny is an awesome, dependable and responsible individual. I love how Benny and my dog have bonded. It’s so cute to see my pup rest her head on Benny’s lap. Benny will follow through on commitments and is a respectful and trustworthy individual. I recommend Benny to the Rover community.
It’s a pleasure to write a review for Benny. My two four-legged kiddos mean the world to me and she took fabulous care of them. Handling bigger dogs is not always easy: a young Rhodesian and an older Labrador can be challenging but Benny had-no problems giving them their walks twice a day in my absence. They also require extra attention and they got lots of it from Benny. She is a great choice!

A typical day
Walking, playing fetch or other games (my dog loves to play hide and seek with his toys which can be very useful way to mentally stimulate) also practicing any training with them is always fun too.

I’m currently looking for a more permanent job and in the meantime my schedule is super open so I have a good amount of flexibility to be able to do dog walks/pet check-ins.
