Put Your Pup in Good Hands!

Pet care experience

The world is definitely a better place with dogs in them! That’s why I became a dog sitter: to make sure that every pup is just as happy as can be. Dogs make our lives easier and give so much to us, so I’m here to give a little back to them as well. Getting to provide the love and care to them so that they can thrive is a kind of therapy in and of itself to me as well! I know how happy I am around pups, so working with them really is a dream come true for me. I have a long history of working with dogs, both as an owner and in a professional capacity as well. Since I was little, my family had two dogs, named Franki and Jett. I grew up in a dog-loving family, which definitely rubbed off on me in a big way! I loved taking care of animals, so I started sitting for friends, family, and neighbors. It was always a great experience, which definitely encouraged me to become a professional caregiver for dogs. I joined Rover over a year ago and started developing my client base! I regularly take care of about 15-20 dogs, and they are all my little canine family! It’s been a great experience and I’ve learned so much along the way. When taking on a new client, I always like to schedule a meet-and-greet. It’s a great way for us to make sure that we’re all a good fit for each other, and we get to chat face-to-face about the best way to take care of your pooch! I love to talk with owners about what makes their pup tick. After all, no one knows their best friend better than you do! But the meet is also a good time for me to make friends with your pooch, which means I’ll always let them take their time to warm up to me. I like to get on their level so they know I’m here to make friends. Once we’ve become new pals, I like to ask lots of questions, so the meet is just a great time for me to find out everything I can about your pooch! When your pup is under my care, I will put my whole heart into caring for them, all while satisfying my (human) customers' needs. I am big when it comes to affection and companionship with every dog I'm working with, especially considering their owner isn't present. Dogs can get sad and feel lonely when their owner isn't around, and so it is my goal to provide the best customer service I can by being affectionate and attentive to their needs. I’ll always keep lines of communication open between owners and myself in case there is any need to get in contact or ask any questions at all. Additionally, I’m always happy to send daily updates with accompanying pictures so you can see how much fun your pup and I are having together. But no matter what, your pup will be in good and loving hands when they are with me.

Benny did a fantastic job with our frenchie puppy. He made a point to send us fun photos and videos each day and even did the dishes for us! Our puppy is very comfortable around him and loved having him to check in while we were out of town. Thanks again Benny!

Benny has done a great job with our dog Lily. She can be a little wary of new people but took very quickly to Benny. Benny does a great job communicating his visits with Lily even sending photos to show he let her out. I highly recommend Benny as a dog sitter!!

Benny watched over our 2 dogs and 2 cats while we were gone for a long weekend vacation. Benny came over the weekend before we left, prepared! He arrived promptly with a tablet for note taking and was even courteous enough to take off his shoes when entering our home. (even though it wasn't necessary... we have 4 animals) During his pre-trip visit, he got to meet all our animals and even started bonding with them! Our dogs can be a handful; Benny was adventurous enough to take them on walks during his drop in visits. Benny took the time to contact us when he arrived at our home and then again once he left. His communication made it easy to know that our pets were being well taken care of. We even got cute pictures and videos! I couldn't have asked for a better sitter for our babies and will be using Benny anytime possible in the upcoming months. We would recommend Benny for your pet needs!

Benny was awesome! He took the time to get to know my dog, her likes and dislikes. He was promp, considerate and easy to communicate with prior to watching my dog and while we were out of town. I trusted him to stay with both my dog and in our house! Our dog is not comfortable with other dogs so this is a perfect solution! Thanks Benny for taking such good care of my girl!!

Information Benny D. would like to know about your pet

Some things I like to learn ahead of time: Would you like to schedule a meet-and-greet before the stay? What’s your preferred method of communication? Does your pup have any health issues that need to be tended to? For instance, dietary restrictions, medicine, or behavior triggers? Do you have a vet nearby that you trust? Is your dog spayed/neutered? Does your pup like to stick to a given schedule, like regular walks in the morning and evening? What does your pup do well around? What does your pup try to avoid? What’s the best way to spoil your pup?

A typical day

Your pup and I would of course do whatever their owner has requested we do during our time, whether that be going on walks and at certain times, making sure feeding happens at certain times, making sure we get enough play time outside/ inside, etc. In regards to my everyday schedule, I am always able to work around going to classes (since I'm a college student) and make sure I am meeting times for my dog runs. I will surely fit your pooch into my agenda for each day I am watching or staying with her, whether that'd mean meeting visit times in the morning, afternoon, and/or evening/ overnight-stays. A lot of my clients in the downtown area love taking their dogs to the yard in front of city hall or to a park area. Since these customers don't have yards that their dogs can play in especially, I know they enjoy being taken to grassy places. Depending on how social my dogs are, I'll take them to an area with a lot of people. For example, I have one customer I work with who has a 7-month-old husky. The pup is wild and LOVES people; so every time I walk her, I take her to see our friends at the COTA bus stop where she gets so much loving and attention. And I always play it safe with where I choose to go, but it's been a spot that we've been going to for awhile now and she just loves it. If my dog doesn't enjoy it, then of course I find a place that she enjoys. And I'd definitely do the same for your pooch!
