Pet care experience
I'm a local undergrad student who loves pet sitting. I have a lot of experience with feeding and walking dogs of most ages. Dogs really grow on me. You know what they say, you can't grow a tree without bark! Cats also have a special place in my heart and I have cared for newborns, 20-year-olds, and everything in between. Fun fact: one of my cats gave birth in front of me, and I still own the litter of one! I also have a couple of years of experience with keeping several species of freshwater aquarium fish and enjoy maintaining my aquatic oasis. I love interacting with any pets under my care! Any relevant behaviors of the dog will be very useful (how they act around new people or other dogs, things that make them uncomfortable, etc.). Also, I prefer scheduling a meet-and-greet before sitting to go over how the pet(s) should be fed, what they can and can't do in the house/apartment, and other stuff like that. However, this is definitely not a requirement. Lastly, I'd like to have information about the pet's health and contact information of a preferred vet (if available) just in case anything happens. Better safe than sorry!
A typical day
I am available to walk the dog in the neighborhood of the house. At the owner's request, I can also take the dog to a local park or something similar to go on a walk. I don't mind fitting most dogs into my car as long as they aren't too big and they don't have strong chewing/scratching tendencies.
