I grew up with golden retrievers and used my 20's to rehabilitate and raise a rescued lab-pit mix. He passed recently and I published an article on my experience through Elephant Journal entitled, "Mindfulness & Death: 3 Helpful Practices to do when Losing a Pet" (easy to Google). I'm not ready for a new dog yet, but I'd love to dote on yours! Dogs and I just get each other. I'm not a "whisperer" exactly, but dogs are definitely my favorite people. We can go for a run or throw a ball. I love making up songs and singing to dogs. I'm self-employed as a musician, meditation instructor, and writer so my availability is wide open. I don't have a dog-friendly place at the moment but if you're in a situation where you'll be away from your pack for an extended period, I'm in a position to care for them while you're away!
