Hi there! My name is Ben, and I'm a professional writer, artist, and pet care provider. Originally from southeat Georgia, I grew up with dogs in my life and love taking care of them. Over the past 7 years of working professionally with animals, I have boarded, walked and watched after a myriad of dog owners' pets. Whether it's a 30 minute walk once a day or an extended period of dog/housesitting, I pride myself on providing pet owners with peace of mind through my strong work ethic, professional attitude, effective responsiveness, and commitment to care. In the past, I've provided my clients with additional services without additional charges, including visits to the dog park, obedience training, medication administration, vet visits, and even minor physical therapy/rehabilitation. This was my first time using Rover. I was a little apprehensive about having a stranger stay in my home with my dogs, but Ben was great! He responded right away when I inquired about setting up a meet and greet, and he was available to meet the next day. He did everything he could to keep my dogs accustomed to their normal routine. They are high energy dogs, and he did a great job with them. He took them to the dog park every day, and kept me informed throughout my trip with text messages. He was available to be with them during my entire time away, so they weren’t left alone at all. I would definitely have Ben stay with them again if the need ever arises.
Ben was a very respectful and responsible sitter. When my husband and I were out of town for a business retreat, we hired Ben to stay in our home and watch after our 5-week old golden retriever. He kept in great communication with us and even took our dog in for his 6-week check up. We returned to a happy pup and a house that was cleaner than when we had left.
