I always loved animals and caring for them. My own dogs growing up were Buster (Border Collie, lived to 17), Duke (Boxer/Pitt Bull Mix, rescued), Cooper (Jack Russell Terrier, 7 years old now), and I also now care for several friends dogs in the NYC area, a Bull Mastiff, a Papillon, a Chihuahua Mix, and a Maltese.
