Pet care experience
I take your pet's safety seriously -- collar GPS trackers, seatbelt harnesses, portable water bowls for long walks, pet sitting insurance that covers vet bills, and I'm vaccinated against both COVID-19 and flu for everyone's safety. However, while safety is important, the reason you should hire me is because I have a deep compassion for all animals and truly enjoy spending time with them. I love snuggles, brushing, walks, play time, and taking dogs (and the occasional cat!) out for adventures. If your pet doesn't need a stay-at-home sitter, I am available for boarding all week, and if they do, my availability is generally Thursdays and Fridays.
Reviews
Bekah was wonderful! She got our pup in last minute so we could go on a rafting trip while traveling through Colorado. She sent pics and texts to let us know how he was doing. He took to her right away! Highly recommend
Bekah is wonderful! We dropped our dog with Bekah for a weekend, and felt very comfortable leaving our energetic pup with her. Bekah knows a lot about dogs and is passionate about taking good care of them. We would be happy to leave our dog with Bekah again anytime.
Bekah is now my go-to person for my dog sitting needs. She is knowledgeable, responsive and reliable, which are essential in having a traumatized and feisty senior dog. I can finally travel again, thanks to Bekah! I feel fortunate to have found her through Rover!
Great job taking care of my cat!

I give lots of attention to each pet that I'm caring for, and if you have a pet that requires special care I can accommodate in most cases. I love taking dogs on long hikes, throwing toys in the dog park, snuggling with kitties on the couch, keeping tiny dogs warm, and visiting off leash areas with well behaved dogs. If I sound like a good fit, reach out and we'll get a meet and greet scheduled -- I can't wait to meet y'all!

Information Bekah S. would like to know about your pet
I'll care for your dog per your instructions. I'm happy to take your pup(s) for a hike, rub their bellies, carefully brush out those mats behind their ears, or administer medication as needed. I'm also willing to work with pets that have behavioral issues or special needs, which we can discuss at the meet and greet.
A typical day
I have leads in various lengths up to 100' to give dogs room to run, so even if they're not in a fenced area we can play outdoors games safely while giving your pup some freedom. We'll go for a walk in the neighborhood, play in the yard, hike through the trees, splash in the creek, or go to the dog park to run off leash.

Availability
I'm comfortable working with animals who have behavior problems and I'm especially patient with fearful and anxious pets. Several of my daily clients while living in Boulder were leash reactive or aggressive dogs, and while I preferred to take them to low traffic trails I was able to keep everyone safe and (usually) calm when none were available. I motivate with treats, praise, toys, and ear scratches, and discourage by withholding rewards, redirecting, and making space -- never with harsh corrections or raised voice.
