My Australian Shepherd and I have just relocated to Santa Monica via the Bay Area and couldn't be happier to meet you! Thank you for perusing my profile. At the onset, I'd like to express that I am a woman with a heart 10 sizes too big for my body. My innate love to care-take and my highly intuitive nature and ability to communicate, combined with my respected level of responsibility and my penchant to think on my feet and act as the calm of any storm, make me a standout candidate for being able to best assess the needs of both dog and owner. I am a creative writer, working from home, with an abundance of time and desire to tend to the needs of the special animals that bless me with their presence in my life. I live in a spectacular location for dogs; steps from parks, and 7 blocks from the Rose Garden along the Santa Monica Bluffs. An exquisitely dog friendly neighbourhood, indeed! Your beloved will share my home with my copilot/love of my life, my incredibly special therapy dog (Australian Shepherd little girl, DeLempicka (aka Dill)). My home is a paradise for dogs - lots of light, a lovely landscaped yard in front (albeit, unenclosed) and an abundance of love to be bestowed. Seeing as I've yet to have the opportunity to have children of my own, my Dill, is my heart and soul. The happiness and well being of the animals in my care are the priority of my life. When I moved to the West coast from my native New York City (and prior to adopting Dill), I spent 3-4 afternoons/week volunteering as both a dog walker and assistant in animal behaviour care at the Marin Humane Society. Whilst I'm not a dog trainer by trade, I am very well versed in the realm of animal behaviour and obedience training via way of orientation courses through the Humane Society and my own in depth experience with my own dog's highly regarded trainer. I am uniquely astute and fast acting when it comes to understanding and implementing the necessary care for another. My focus for your dog will revolve around his/her best interest, happiness, health, exercising and socialization needs. Thus, I am able to express with assurance, that I am the woman who you will want to have loving your dog.
