We offer a uniquely dog friendly environment ... totally cage free boarding and daycare for dogs and puppies in our home, but call us a canine bed and breakfast. Since 1993 we have hosted thousands and groomed at least 10,000 thousand dogs with hundreds of repeat customers. Dogs are free to move about, interacting inside the air conditioned interior, and outside if weather permits. We don't rely on kennels, runs, or cages. Our communal approach allows dogs to be what they truly are...pack oriented, social creatures. New or prospective customers are sometimes amazed at how so many dogs can get along when in such close proximity. It's true that at times, we may have 25 or more spending the night. I suppose that's out of the realm of most people's experience. There can, however, be only one pack leader in such a group, of course, and that would be me. Dogs understand that this is neutral ground, and that as pack leader, I'm in charge. They respect the control. Any dog that thinks he's in charge is an unhappy dog. They want to be controlled. I think that's partly why they are always happy to return to me. Another thing that's makes dogs extra happy here is the food. Mealtime is everyone's favorite time. Every meal is interesting. We offer Science Diet Lamb and Rice recipe or Blue Buffalo Lamb and Rice, supplemented with wild venison and brown rice or white millet, peas and carrots. More recently we've started using organic chicken and white rice for guys with sensitive tummies, and to provide some variety to meals. Nobody goes hungry here. Even finicky dogs usually give it up and eat for me. The nose knows. You may provide your own diet, but dogs tend to transition exceptionally well to our standard fare without a problem.
