Certified Vet Tech-Where Pets Play!

Pet care experience

I’m Becky and along with my 16 year old daughter Maddie, we are thrilled to open our home and offer the unique services of In-Home Boarding and doggy day care. About the Owner: As a Certified Veterinary Technician, I have over 28 years of in-clinic professional experience and have been caring for dogs in my home for over 15 year. Pairing my professional experience with my passion for exceptional in-home pet care, I am blessed to have the opportunity to provide “your love when you’re away.” Pet Care Philosophy: Our In-Home Boarding and Doggy Day Care services are built around providing the most similar and comfortable environment for your dog during a time that can be stressful for them. I also know leaving your beloved pet can make a vacation or business trip more stressful for you. My goal is to ensure you can travel while knowing your pet is safe, happy and comfortable. Enjoy your time away and they will have kisses and happy tail wags for you when you pick them up. I want to make special note of my love and experience caring for those dog requiring special attention. Whether geriatric, insulin dependent or any with other special medical and needs, I truly appreciate the opportunity to provide the extra care to make their lives comfortable and happy. Please let me know how I can help ensure a great boarding experience. Our Home - Their Home Away From Home: I selected our home specifically for the qualities that make it a haven for dogs; yours and ours. The main floor is a very open design with all wood floors. We are in a country setting with an over ½ acre fenced yard frequented by squirrels and rabbits with lots of turf to run and shade to rest in. Inside we have toys and balls, dog beds for everyone, and yes they are welcome on the couch; that’s where most of the petting happens :) A simple feature but critical to comfortable boarding is the dog door. We believe in giving the dogs open access to the outside; whether to lay in the sun or do their business. And don’t worry, they will learn to use it in minutes after watching the rest of the gang go in and out. Our Babies - your dogs new best friends: Of course we have two of our own. Boo is a 10 year old female Black Lab Mix and officially in change of squirrel watching. Jack is her 10 year old brother and terrier mix (we call him a Jackador since we really have no idea what he is) and the love bug of the house. We look forward to meeting your four legged babies and bringing them into our family. Please message us with any questions and we will be happy to see your babies running with the LovesPaws gang in the back yard. About this sitter: As a Certified Veterinary Technician, I have over 28 years of in-clinic professional experience and have been caring for dogs in my home for over 15 year. Pairing my professional experience with my passion for exceptional in-home pet care, I am blessed to have the opportunity to provide “your love when you’re away.” Why I love dog sitting I was born a dog lover, it's just in my DNA. As for my history with dogs, that's more important. I am a Certified Veterinary Technician with 28 years of professional in clinic experience. Not only did I support our clinics daily appointments but also train new techs and I was our lead surgical and dental technician. I have been providing in-home boarding for 15 years and during that time built so many wonderful relationships; I have met some great owners too ;) From my professional training and experience I'm comfortable with any medical condition or special care your dog may need. Please talk to me about your needs and we will develop a care plan. Meet my pets Our Babies - your dogs new best friends: Of course we have a few of our own. Boo is a 10 year old female Black Lab Mix and officially in change of squirrel watching. Jack is her 10 year old brother and terrier mix (we call him a Jackador since we really have no idea what he is) and the love bug of the house. About my yard Our home is designed for dogs. We have an over 1/2 acre fenced yard with lots of turf, large shade trees, a spacious deck and always a brave squirrel who wanders in. We have a dog door to allow your babies to come and go from the house to the yard to play or do their business as they choose. My experience administering medication Yes; I administer several different medications every day at work as well as for several current clients.

Becky & her family are awesome! She took great care of Bentley while we were away and made sure to post plenty of pics so we knew he was doing fine. We are so glad we found her and will definitely be booking more stays for Bentley in the near future!

Becky is outstanding! She easily exceeded all of my expectations and is a true lover of all animals. I'm pretty sure, if given the opportunity, my pooch would have stayed with her an additional week. A large, fenced yard combined with top notch care makes for a winning combination. I'll never board my pet elsewhere! Thanks Becky, you're the best!

Leaving Bo with Becky was once again a fantastic decision. He had a great time as far as I could tell, and she was very communicative.

Becky was a fantastic doggy sitter. The communication leading up to me leaving Bo with her was very professional and warm, and she worked hard to assure and comfort me in the process. She was clear in her expectations, and the credibility she exuded in telling me how to ensure he'll be a better guest to sitters in the future was fantastic. Bo was wonderfully worn out after his time at her home, and I'm sure he enjoyed the interactions.

Information Becky W. would like to know about your pet

We open our home to all breeds, they are all lovers. We do ask that your dog is comfortable playing with others and you are the best judge of that. I really appreciate the time before a first stay to get to know you as well as your dog. Of course, I require them to be current on all vaccines and on a monthly flea prevention other than Frontline. The active ingredient, (Fipronil) in Frontline has been modified so many times and appears in many over the counter products. It has lost it's efficacy over the years. I prefer either an oral product or Advantage/Advantix for fleas. If you have a male dog, they must be neutered. Having an un-neutered male come into our home often causes many problems. They will always mark their territory, which translates into peeing all over our home, which isn't acceptable. Having an un-spayed female dog can also cause problems, especially if she is either entering or just finishing her heat cycle. Hopefully you will understand. On a first visit or pre-visit we will let your baby get to know the yard first on their own and then bring the rest of the gang out to meet their new friend. This is a very smooth transition for everyone and gives us the time to talk about your expectations and my care philosophy.

A typical day

Here's where we'll take our walks We believe the time running and and playing in the HUGE yard is the best exercise for your dog. They love the freedom and interaction with other dogs. If you do prefer a leashed walk we are happy to accommodate and will walk in our quiet neighborhood. Your dog's sleeping arrangement We have a variety of dog beds for them to choose from. Others enjoy the couch and our Boo usually finds a comfy spot on a rug. The main floor has my bedroom, living room, dining room and kitchen. Guests are welcome to roam where they like and they usually do :) Time I'll spend with your dog I am home with your dogs 97% of each and every day. After school and during the summer, my teenage daughter is home as well and loves to hang out with the dogs. Yes, we are away at times (softball games, out to dinner, etc) and just like at your home, they will be great. If you prefer they are in a kennel while we are out we have several sizes available here.
