I have always had a special relationship with dogs. Never mattered the type, just that I got to enjoy their company. In my own life, I've been lucky to have some great companions who became a best friend. From a constantly barking beagle, to a Shih-Tzu I took everywhere for fifteen years, to a yippy Yorkie, and now to a puppy mill rescue dog whose heart is as big as he is (he's about 90 lbs). My life would have far less meaning if I didn't have my dogs in it, or dogs of my friends who I come to love just as much. I have done pet sitting, and checking in on puppies and dogs for years now, for both family and friends, to strangers who just were referred my name. Really, it's a mini-vacation for me! I'm fun, detailed to the owners wishes and routine for their furry friends, and responsible. I know how important having a dog is, and I know how I'd feel if I ever left mine behind for business or vacation and that's my philosophy when pet-sitting or spending a few times a day with a new friend.
