I live in a single-family home in a great neighborhood in the hills on the edge of Golden. We are located very close to I70 and C470 – and Red Rocks is just 4 miles away. We are also very close to the Apex Trailhead and Earth Treks, if you need a fun drop-off for your dog while you hike, bike, or climb! Our house is very dog friendly. My husband, David, our adventure pup, Yazhi (50lb mixed breed), and I live an active life and we also keep a comfortable, friendly home. We have a securely fenced yard with nice grass and several trees. Our yard also links up to several well maintained trails. Hiking and trail running are great options for dogs who like to get out and about (on leash). We also have many dog-friendly spaces in the house for quiet retreats as needed. Dogs are allowed on the sofa and beds (unless you ask otherwise), as we hope your dog will feel at home as much as possible while they're our guest. Yazhi loves to entertain as much as we do and she has learned to adjust her energy to match other dogs' intensity and activity levels. I work part-time as a school psychologist, so I have a lot of experience working with individuals with special emotional and behavioral needs. These skills help me provide a safe and enriching environment for your fur baby. My husband and I have flexible work schedules, so your pup will never be alone for very long (if at all). I have lived with dogs for most of my life, and I wouldn't have it any other way! David, Yazhi, and I enjoy outdoor adventures often ... we know how important it is to have a trustworthy caretaker for those times your dog can't make the trip too.
