We were so pleased with Becca's care and attention to our cat Ginger. Ginger doesn't do well with being alone overnight and we were concerned, but after meeting Becca we felt very assured. Becca sent a thorough report each time she visited that included details about Ginger's behavior, eating, medicine, elimination, and overall mood. She also sent us photos which along with the detailed report set our minds at ease. When we returned home we ...

Experienced Animal Caretaker

Hello!

Caring for animals has always been a passion of mine! I have been doing it professionally for the past 15 years for different types of animals. I also have an Associates degree in Animal Care from Becker College. I have direct experience with working in kennel/doggie daycare environments and veterinary clinics such as MSPCA-Angell and a VCA hospital ...

What Becca would like to know about your dog

Before I care for your dog, I would like to know if your dog is on any medications, has any allergies (food or environmental), as well as a veterinarian contact information in case of any emergencies that may occur.

I would also like to know whether or not your dog is good with other's and their general temperament when encountering other animals, wild creatures and people. This is best for when I take them out in public on walks and outings to assure safety for all parties encountered.

If your pet has any anxieties or behavioral issues, I would like to know those ahead of time too, so I can be sure to make them as comfortable as possible in any situation. I do a lot of work with anxious and fearful dogs/cats as well. I have even been called "The Dog Whisperer" since I have such a great way with the anxious pups. I know from experience, a little extra time goes a long way with their trust and bonding.

I am huge on communication to keep you involved in your pet's time with me. If I notice the smallest thing that's abnormal to most dogs, I generally message about it just to make sure if it's a normal occurrence or not. My views are more communication and questions is better than less to get all your bases covered.

When Becca watches your pet

** For Walks and Drop-In Clients **
I am willing to go on walks around your neighborhood and explore new places such as any dog parks in the area. I can go on longer walks or do play times for those dogs that are high-energy dogs or need extra attention in the energy department. I sometimes like to go to woodsy areas to hike with dogs or the beach to walk too. If that's alright, I would go to your house then drive with your dog to a park or beach and go for a hike or walk.

I also incorporate "Fun days" with some of my clients. I currently already have one day already for those days and I've been calling it "Field Trip Fridays. This is when I take a few pups out for a longer walk than normal and I try to take them to new place every week, weather permitting. It's been successfully fun so far with those I've done trial "Field Trip Fridays" with!

** For Boarding Clients **
My days are dedicated mostly to my guest dogs when they are here and I spend a majority of time making sure everyone adjusts properly to my household with walks, bonding, treats (if allowed), and ALL the play! I do my best to keep your pup's routine as similar to what they're used to.

Please keep in mind I can only board up to two (2) dogs at a time. This sometimes means that your dog may come into contact with another client's dog. I also might need to step out occasionally to attend a walk or drop-in for another client.

*** I do request that each dog is crate trained for the fact that I do have my own dogs (crated when alone or eating) and cats (free range). This is set up for the safety of my own pets and yours. I prefer to have safety come first.

PLEASE NOTE: While myself or my boyfriend are around home almost 24 hours a day at the house, but between our different work schedules, he's generally sleeping and only around our guest dogs when he's awake. If I have to step out, he is there to hear whether or not any dogs are having problems. We also have a camera set up in our kitchen facing our dog crate area which I get bark alerts from to assure everyone is safe and calm.

While I do have a yard, the fence is currently uninstalled, but that doesn't stop us from still having fun and exploring new and cool places on leash! I live close to the mills in Orange and in the daytime, I frequently walk my own dogs down there since it has such pretty scenery and new smells for them to be mentally stimulated by. If your pup is good with others, I can also have them tag along on walks for the day as well. I could also take your pup to one of our two dog parks (Orange or Greenfield) for some good off-leash play. I'd give your pup the same love, play, and attention my own get! BarkBox is a well known subscription in our home and we have MANY toys ready for the destroyers.

*** PLEASE NOTE: I unfortunately am unable to board cats due to the safety of your cats. My heart cat Dahlia, was diagnosed as FIV+ and while I trust him completely, I don’t want to take any risk of a client’s cat becoming infected if they were to have any sort of altercation.

** For Daycare Clients**
The Daycare services I have are in a semi-traveling form, so your dog's day will be personalized to get the most socialization with other dogs and humans possible. We go on hikes and other walks galore. The service is set as an 8 hour service from pick up time to drop off and I do my best to tire your energetic pup out! This will soon be adjusting to being with me at my home all day.

There might be days where we stay close to my home and relax all day, but that won't stop us from enjoying the day with walks around town, enjoying the dog pool in my yard (weather pending), or just playing inside! We have toys and treats galore with a BarkBox delivered every month!

PLEASE NOTE: All yard activities are completely monitored and on-leash or tie-outs. We have a few 30' up to 100lbs tie-outs available for these moments.
