**2/28/2023 - I started getting work beginning of November 2022 and since then have achieved, maintained, and continue to grow a steady clientele! I have been able to work with a pretty wide array of pets - dogs, cats, even chickens! I have worked with senior dogs and puppies as young as 2 months. I have experienced working with reactive pets, mainly dogs and have been able to build trust with them. Some pets have major anxiety and I have been able to keep them calm and some learned to feel safe with me which lessened their fear (as a number of pets have separation anxiety). My hope in being your pet sitter is that both the pet and client feel at ease being apart! I love being able to also correspond with my clients and provide multiple updates and I will send many pictures/videos because being around pets is not just my job, it is something I truly love. When I take on requests, I try to set up meet and greets asap or to the comfort of the client's schedule. I am extremely flexible with time as this is the only job I have, so if you need me several months ahead or within a few hours for a drop-in or a walk, I'm ready to help! (Note: I do get booked pretty far ahead sometimes and usually fast, so don't hesitate to reach out when you need me!) August 2022 I have lived with dogs all my life so I am pretty well acquainted with them and have walked several for friends and family. I just recently moved to Fort Collins; before I lived in Florida and had time to meet and care for my parent's puppy (Luna, almost five months old now). I made sure to supply her with teething toys, including Himalayan pet chews to avoid her digesting any rubber/plastic. She's the youngest I've ever had the pleasure of getting to know and play time was a real joy for both of us. Before Luna, I took care of my late pet, Princess, from puppy to senior (seven months to 14 years). I used a stroller to supplement our walks because she was arthritic in her later years (and because she loved people watching). I also used to cook and bake homemade food, including healthy treats for her and a couple other dogs in my family (a Pomeranian and a German Shepherd/Border Collie mix). I provided medication for multiple pets so learning what they will take versus having trouble helped me with options to keep them healthy and/or calm even when they were stubborn! The main reason I want to take care of your dog(s) is because after Princess passed away a few months ago, it has been a huge hole in my heart; I'd love to heal through helping and providing care again and will love any pet as much as I adored caring for my own.
