From a very young age, I've taken care of dogs and cats, both mine or my neighbors' and friends'. I've taken care of dogs as big as a Great Dane and as small as a mini Pinscher. I have also taken care of cats and horses. A few years ago I had to help a friend's dog deliver puppies (the dog was an American Akita), since then I learned a little more about animal care from veterinarians' advice. Although I seem small, walking big dogs has never been a problem for me. I consider myself to be very good with them and I think my experience with this wide variety of pets sets me apart from other sitters and walkers, though I believe the most important skill in this role is caring for their wellbeing, safety and knowing how to deal when/if there's an emergency.
