Specializing in high anxiety dogs
Pet care experience
10% of all bookings will go to Shelter from the Storm (spay me clinic) here in madison. When I first came to use Rover for my dog boarding, I had some trouble finding the right sitters for my Dog, Dude. I realized there was a need for dogs with high anxiety and behavior issues. We are an understanding and compassionate family that are able to address and deal with dogs with special needs. I book 1-4 dogs for boarding/daycare on anyday. This way I do not have more than five dogs in my home at any time. Alll dogs that are accepted through rover at or under 40 pounds. Dude is a medium dog that is 53 pounds and very sweet. He is afraid of large dogs and plays very well with small dogs. Drop off and pick up times are flexible from 4 am until 11 pm. I just ask you have an idea before hand and try to keep me informed if things change. I am a stay at mom so my schedule is flexible. I send photos to every owner, everyday. Along with an update of the dogs daily activies. I do not allow automic uploading on my Rover profile. While dogs are encouraged to play and rest. We do training sessions with all dogs (unless the animals is unable) to help them keep or learn their best manners. While complex tricks are very cute and charming, good manners are important to foster the best relationship between owner and pet. I am CNA certified and have attended veterinary technician classes. I am comfortable administering medication, keep records and documentation of their medical care, and administering injections for medication or fluids. We accept dogs that both crate trained and those that are not. Dude is not crate trained but has been instructed not to disturb any animal that goes into their crate. We allow dogs on the furniture and to sleep in our bed while you're away if that is their preference. I can not accept dogs not allowed on furniture. It makes me too sad. Our yard is fenced and secure. We do provide tie outs for dogs that need further security. You dog will have access to the outside as much or little as they perfer. We are able to care for animals with mobility issues with very few steps in our single story home. Our family is looking forward to looking after yours.
Reviews
Bea is so caring and Roo loves coming to visit and play with Dude.
After several great stays with Bea, we had an incident that required her to find new placement for my dog while I was traveling out of state. While I understand this happens, Bea didn’t answer my questions about whether there was a physical altercation and didn’t provide me any details in response to my multiple questions about what happened beyond a picture of my dog (to apparently show she was fine). The situation was stressful and her nonresponse didn’t help things any.
Bea is the best dog sitter I've never had. My dog Molly has a lot of anxiety and I've had trouble with boarding her in most Madison dog resorts and boarding facilities until I found Bea. She has an amazing understanding and patience with dogs with anxiety like Molly and has been so patient with her every time. She takes the time to train and provide many walks and detail the care to specifically what Molly needs. Molly is slowly coming out of her shell and Bea has helped her gain so much confidence. I am so happy to have found Bea and trust her completely with my dog. It's wonderful to see Bea love Molly and take such great care of her. I will absolutely recommend Bea to anyone looking for someone who genuinely love dogs and has the patience and time to work with anxious dogs!! I will definitely take Molly to Bea's next time I'm out of town!
Huxley had a great time at daycare with Bea and Dude as usual. Really appreciated her accepting late requests. I always pick up a happy and tired out pup. ?

Dude is a young 2-year-old boxer pitbull mix. He can be high energy with a high play drive. Puppies and high energy dogs welcome. Currently I have two relaxed doggy day care full time in my home.
A typical day
We live in the Dunn's marsh area off the bike path and Marlboro Park for walking. Every day starts with a walk. I like to engage dogs in training sessions that work on simple commands to engage with your dog. We have a doggy pool, kong toys, and tug toys for stimulation. Plenty of shade and comfortable places to relax and recharge.
