Where Every Wag, and Purr get VIP +

Pet care experience

Barnaby, I am the type of guy with a heart as warm as a sunbeam and a soul that danced to the rhythm of paws and purrs. I wasn't just an animal lover; I was the go-to person for all things pets, turning my passion into a full-blown service. Every day was a vivid canvas of furry faces, feathered friends, and the occasional scaly sidekick. House sitting wasn't just a job; it was an art. I'd seamlessly slip into the routines of pet owners, ensuring each home became a haven for their beloved companions. From meticulous feeding schedules to bedtime stories for the more inquisitive critters, I made sure no pet felt left out. My days were a symphony of activities, more than just routine walks. The park became a parade ground, with dogs prancing happily at my side and even the aloof cats joining the party. Fishing outings were a favorite, with a motley crew of pets attempting to master the art of catching a fish. Back at home, the fireplace turned into a cozy haven. I'd snuggle with my furry charges, creating a warm cocoon of contentment. The crackling fire set the stage for stories—tales of adventures, both real and imagined, that captured the hearts of my animal companions. Time management was key. Every meal became an orchestrated event, with portion sizes tailored to the unique dietary needs of each pet. From the tiniest parakeet to the most robust Labrador, no bowl was left empty under my watch.

Highly recommend!!! Barnaby was just wonderful with our dog!! I wanted to avoid a multiple-dog-maximally-booked sitter and so reached out initially considering dog AND house sitting while we were away for most of a week. But after a great meet and greet with our dog and helpful conversation to decide what would work best, Barnaby was so generous and flexible to pick up our dog and bring him back to his place to stay during their time together. He must truly be a pet whisperer, because our dog fell completely in love with him! I was confident knowing from Barnaby's straightforward and well-timed communication that our dog was in excellent hands. I was especially impressed to hear about his compassion as a pet owner himself and doesn't shy away from caring for larger breed dogs. I was so grateful that our pup was in great care, and was assured by seeing Barnaby's patient manner with our dog, both in the beginning and at the end of his stay, that we'll recommend to others absolutely and will certainly be coming back as soon as we can! It makes all the difference to return to a well exercised, satisfied and contented dog, who has been offered treats as often as we would, and who has been enjoying comforts of home, away from home. I love that our dog's ears perk up just to hear the name, Barnaby now(!!!) Thanks again so much!

Safety, trust & environment

Caring for pets in both my home and clients' homes involves a personalized and attentive approach tailored to the specific needs of each furry friend. In my own home, I create a pet-friendly environment with designated spaces for play, rest, and meals. Regular walks, interactive playtime, and a consistent feeding schedule are integral to their daily routine. When providing services in clients' homes, I adapt to the pets' familiar surroundings. This includes adhering to established feeding routines, maintaining cleanliness in their living spaces, and engaging in activities that align with their preferences. I ensure a seamless transition for the pets by adhering closely to the owners' instructions, whether it's administering medication, adhering to dietary restrictions, or simply offering companionship. Communication is key, and I keep pet owners informed with updates, photos, and any noteworthy observations about their pets' behavior or well-being. Ultimately, whether in my home or theirs, my goal is to create a loving and secure environment that prioritizes the physical and emotional well-being of the pets under my care

A typical day

The fun activities I engage in with the pets I watch depend on their individual preferences, energy levels, and specific needs. Here are some exciting and enjoyable activities that I often incorporate into my pet care routine: Playtime Extravaganza: Interactive games like fetch, tug-of-war, or hide-and-seek to keep them mentally stimulated and physically active. Puzzle toys and treat dispensers to challenge their problem-solving skills. Scenic Walks: Leisurely strolls in nearby parks or nature trails for dogs to explore new scents and sights. Gentle walks for older pets or those with mobility issues. Water Adventures: Splashing in kiddie pools or dog-friendly beaches for water-loving pets. Water-filled toys for a refreshing playtime. Fishing Fun: For aquatic pets, setting up a small, safe aquarium or providing toys for fish to interact with. Stimulating activities to cater to the unique needs of different species. Cozy Cuddle Time: Snuggle sessions for pets that enjoy close human contact, offering comfort and companionship. Reading aloud or talking to pets to provide a soothing and familiar voice. These activities not only cater to the physical well-being of the pets but also contribute to their emotional happiness and overall satisfaction during their time under my care.
