Pet care experience
I have had dogs and cats my entire life. About 10 years ago I decided to Foster dogs. After a few years I started working with medical dogs from the shelter. I also enjoy happy go lucky pups and adult dogs. A friend suggested I work with Rover. After reading up on their services it was clear this is something right up my alley. The dogs I babysit will have inside and outside time but no more than their family requests. In the past I did adoption events at various locations for an Animal Shelter and was able to get to their needs that I have put in place. Working with Rover has given me the opportunity to meet more 4 legged friends and their families. I work part time but there is someone in my home 90% of the time. I am available for up to two dogs. I offer a discount for stays over 3 days. I still have fosters and they are very friendly. I would love to be there for you while you are away. A typical day starts with potty time and a romp in the yard. Then inside for water and food. Usually another trip outside to do their business again. Then inside or outside to play. I have a bowl of dog food and 💦 out all the time My Rovers are rarely put in a kennel unless they are chewers or the family requests that they need to be at bedtime only. Other than that I have few rules. I just want your baby to be comfortable and happy.
Reviews
Baxter had another perfect weekend camping out with Barbara and Dustin. Thanks so very much!!!
You can tell that Barbara has a true love for dogs. I really appreciated the photos she sent of my dog and the updates on how she was doing. I will definitely use her services again.
For the second time our dogs had fun and well taken cared of! Thanks barbs! We will definitely see you again.
???DO NOT BOOK ??? *Sitter put my dog in danger and neglected refunding me* This is gonna be a long review but I feel absolutely it’s necessary that potential clients of this sitter are aware of a situation that occurred with my pup and could occur with them and leave them in a bad position. Prior to the drop off day I had ventured to the sitters house to do a meet and greet with her three dogs. The meet and greet went perfectly fine and the booking was then paid for at that time. Fast forward to drop off day, i got off of working a 12 hr overnight shift and went home to immediately pack up my pup and get him to the sitter so I could go on my vacation. Upon arrival to the sitters she had another dog there that she was sitting. Barbara did not give me any type of warning that she was going to have another dog there while also sitting my dog. This was strike one. After getting the dogs to sniff and meet each other, the other dog she was sitting became aggressive and tried to bite at my dog. This was strike two. Barbara then had no solution to how to handle the situation in any regards. Eventually, she began to contact the other dogs owner to try and take the dog to a kennel until the owner could pick him up. This was strike three. At this point I was beyond uncomfortable leaving my dog at her house out of fear he would get bit or sent to a kennel as well. Thankfully I sent a 911 text to a family member and found a last minute sitter for the week or else my entire vacation would have had to get cancelled due to Barbara. The last thing Id like to stress is that Barbara then neglected to refund me my money. Before contacting rover myself I sent her a message and she completely ignored it. She had submitted the cancellation request for the booking but she never followed up with rover for my refund to be fully submitted based on what the rover support team told me. So long story short, Barbara put my dog in harms way and then also is trying to rob me of my money by not communicating with rover. If i could leave her 0 stars, i would.

I do work part time but I have someone in my home 24/7. I know dogs prefer a private home and not a kennel. I rarely kennel a dog but let the owners dictate what they prefer.
