Life is incomplete without a dog
Pet care experience
Hello everyone! My name is Barbara and I would love to take care of your pets. From a young age I have known that part of my future would involve making a difference in the lives of animals. So much was it, that I decided to study veterinary medicine. I am currently a vet student at Long Island University and I want to be able to go to school while also being around the reason for why I started this career path… animals. For this reason I would love to become a dog walker. I want to serve as a bridge for pet owners and their pets so that they can become more educated about them and be able to give their furry friends the best life possible because they truly deserve it. Being able to care for your pets is not only a step but also an honor. Whether it is your dog, cat, bird, or snake I will make sure I do my job to the best of my ability always attending to your pet's needs. This is more than a job to me. I genuinely enjoy being around animals and being around them will also help me for my future career as well. I will always make sure that your pet is happy and if he/she is not I will do everything in my power to make it happens. That is a promise that I am making to you, your pets, and the oath that I will someday swear on when I finally become what I have always wanted to.
Reviews
I can always count on Barbara with any of my pets. She's absolutely wonderful! I was a little nervous for my dog Ricky (as any pet owner would be) due to it being my first time using Rover and trusting someone to take care of him, but Barbara made all my worries go away with her friendliness and good vibes. She even noticed my turtle Carlotta who's always hiding and asked if she needed some water or food. She really is a great pet care taker and treats my little fur ball as if he were her own. I will definitely be contacting her again. Thank you Barbara! :)
Barbara has been a godsend with my 17 y/o, spicy Miniature Pinscher. She is thoughtful and communicative, responsive and responsible. She gets the golden paw of endorsement from my fruit-bat dog and I!
Barbara is an incredible pet care taker! She truly loves animals and it is her passion to provide the most loving care. I would trust her with any of my pets in a heartbeat.
Barbara has demonstrated incomparable care and attention to any animal she meets. She has helped me with my own dog on multiple occasions and has earned my full trust as an animal caretaker. She is pursuing her career in this field and this would be a great opportunity for Barbara to not only learn but bring the bright energy that’s all her own.

I have a super friendly dog at home. He is 12 years old so for the most part he is very mellow and calm. My house has a backyard as well and we live on an end block so there are no busy streets nearby.
Information Barbara P. would like to know about your pet
Please let me know if your pet is good with other pets or people. Does your pet like to be taken on long walks or shorter ones. Also, what special needs does your pet have
A typical day
If there is a park nearby, me and your pet can go and play fetch together. We'll go on long therapeutic walks together, learn new tricks and I'll make sure to talk to your pet because I want to build a bond between us and I want them to know my voice. Cats are usually more laid back so for them I promise to give long pampering sessions!

I am currently a full time veterinary student. I attend school from Monday- Friday with varying start and end times. On days where I end earlier I could go from school to your home to walk/care for your pets. Usually Mondays and Fridays are short days, I end at 12pm. Wednesdays and Thursdays it depends on the activity I have for the day, but they aren’t too bad so those days could work as well. Tuesdays are my long days . I end at 5pm but if you needed me to come after school I could do that as well!
