I have been dog sitting for years. I have always had at least one dog in the family. I recently lost both a rescue and a lab ( the lab adopted us) I miss them terribly still. All the dogs that I care for love coming here and settle in quickly! I have cared for all types of dogs from 5 lbs to 100 lbs. also have experience with dogs who need medications and or are seniors.

Barbara and her husband are pros. We have had our dog with them twice and they are very loving. Have enjoyed pictures they send and communicating with us. It is so important to have somebody you trust with your pets so you can enjoy time away!
Barbara and Rick were great sitters for Goose, who is definitely an energetic puppy - I got lots of great photo updates and loved how they cared for him like he was their own!
Barbara and her husband were really great with Sully. He’s a tough dog, very mischievous and nosey but also very sweet and they took great care of him even when he was a handful at times. I received lots of photos and they followed all his medication instructions perfectly. My dog clearly felt comfortable there and enjoyed his stay. I am grateful for the excellent care and love they gave to my (oftentimes a handful) of a dog.
I cannot thank Barbara and her husband enough. Nova & Kilo felt right at home. She was also accommodating to schedule changes for an upcoming surgery. I liked that we were able to coordinate a meet and greet, prior to date, to get a sense of the chemistry between them and our pups. I was sent sweet updates with pictures as well. I genuinely am grateful to have found the perfect match for daycare/boarding. The best part is that the pups did not need to be boarded at a facility in a kennel or have additional stress of a cluster of other pets. We will definitely be using Barbara and her husband’s services in the future. 10/10 recommend.

I have a complete fenced in yard to keep your fur babies safe and really enjoy taking them out for walks and can do that as needed.

I love ALL dogs but have to admit Labradors are my favorite. I prefere a non aggressive dog that can get along with other dogs and people. I will have to charge my day rate of $40 if pick up is after 12 noon on day of departure. We do travel to Saugatuck Michigan on Friday afternoon around 2pm and return Monday early morning. Its a 2 and half hour drive and we have taken many dogs with us with the permission of the owners so if they travel well, they are welcome to join.
A typical day
We have a large park two blocks from my house for long walks and fetch. I also have a fenced in yard. I am home during the day so your dog/dogs will get a lot of attention and love. Only problem is they may not want to leave ! ?
