Pet care experience
I manage a local bar in Adams Morgan so my days are empty with nothing to do but explore the city. I love to workout and explore outside! I’m full of energy with no kids yet. I do live alone with no roommates, just me (: I live in the Adams Morgan area and very close to lots of parks! Easy to walk to from where I live where I can take the pups for walks and even play catch, fetch, and whatever else they enjoy. I love the company pups and dogs provide they really are like a best friend. From cuddling on the couch watching movies to running outside, I want to be a dog foster mommy but for now this will do! I’m home majority of my days since my work day begins at 6pm. I also often walk to a nearby coffee shop and sit outside to get work done, where they allow pets. It can get lonely so Im looking forward to filling my life with your little babies.
Reviews
Barbara was great for our dog, Charlie. He's usually pretty hesitant around new people and places, but he immediately fell in love with her. He even showed her his belly, which he almost never does. She really knows how to care for dogs! She sent pictures to us and Charlie looked happy and relaxed in all of them. She also gave him plenty of exercise, which was great for us. She was super flexible and accommodating of all of our needs. We will definitely have her watch our bub again!
Barbara was fantastic as always! She always handles my high energy, special needs pitbull well and my new puppy had a great time cuddling on the couch with her. Thank you Barbara!
Barbara was amazing with our older pooch. Barbara gave him lots of love and attention and he was in no hurry to come home from her comfy apartment.
I could tell that Barbara treated my dog well when my dog didn’t want to leave. Thanks Barbara!

Unfortunately I currently do not plan on boarding dogs, or doing day care. I live in a basement apartment, so unless it is a small dog it is not something I intend on offering.

Information Barbara L. would like to know about your pet
I love to know all the details and quirks of personality so I can make your baby as comfortable as possible as quickly as possible. I will only feed your dog food and snacks/treats that you provide and specify. (unless we agree otherwise) Here is a handy "packing list" you can use: -Adequate food and treats for the entire stay *plus one extra day's worth in case of emergencies -Several favorite toys, ideally including at least one that can go outside, something cuddly if that's your dog's thing, and something hard to chew as a chew toy is often comforting in a new environment and a kong is always handy. -A favorite, bed, mat or blanket (or all of the above) for cozy sleeping. Preferably something with the scent from you and your house. -Food bowls -Leash, harness/collar and clearly readable ID tag and rabies tag attached. -A brush if your dog's fur is easily matted and the stay is longer than 4 days. -Please always complete the Rover care notes before your stay, or alternatively bring them written out when you begin the stay. I'm looking forward to meeting you and your baby!
A typical day
I normally wake up and hit the gym or rock creek park for a trail walk depending on the day. Then i am home, or at a near by cafe/restaurant enjoying my afternoon.

I am off Monday-Wednesdays, and home during the day with not much to do but explore the city, and what better way to explore the city than with a furry friend.
