Barbara was very (excellent) with Daisy. From the first interview to the first sitting she was on time. Very knowledgeable about our dog (pit Bull). Daisy took to her very fast. We were gone for 2 nights and she sent us a few photos of how Daisy was doing. She washed the sheets and left the house very clean. She even made split pea/vegetable soup for us (very tasty). We will definitely have her ...

This was Barbara's first time caring for our two Schnauzers and she was wonderful! The dogs greeted her cheerfully and were both contented within a few minutes of her arrival. The really nice thing was how Barbara stayed in touch with us in text and pictures. It helped us to give her a few pointers for our special needs senior dog. It is very obvious and evident to us that she has a special touch ...

Barbara is an absolute gem and fantastic dog (and house) sitter! She was so kind and loving to our dog Brie during a recent trip of ours out of town. Barbara really became invested in understanding Brie's needs, preferences, routines, etc. and this was very comforting to me. She was also very communicative during our absence -- not only with photos (much more forthcoming than other sitters we have had) but also stories, anecdotes, observations etc ...

I have a way with dogs and cats

"Pet-sitting" sounds like a passive job. My service is active and comprehensive. Not only do I love and show abundant affection to the animals, but I deliver you a house as clean or cleaner than when you left . . I care for indoor and garden plants . . I let maintenance personnel in and out, and supervise where necessary . . I walk dogs once or twice a day per your request (and those walks are lively) . . . I brush the ...

What Barbara would like to know about your dog

I care for little dogs and big dogs, and almost all breeds. I have spent weeks with a fine Olde English Bulldog, and "Auntie" to a 90-pound Rhodesian Ridgeback on several occasions. In past years I've enjoyed Havanese, Bichon Frise, Chihuahuas, Pugs, Airedales, Labrador and Golden Retrievers, Aussies and Germans, Border Collies and Standard Poodles. I'm the go-to caretaker for three Anatolian Shepherds who live on a Christmas Tree Farm. Two are bigger than I, and the puppy is a real handful. I enjoy these dogs immensely. There is a cockapoo in Folsom who has my heart. Two Great Pyrenees in the wilds of Foresthill are my gentle friends. Soon I'll be taking care of two mini Schnauzers. I like little dogs, great big dogs and all the other Good Dogs in between.
