Room for dogs in my country home
Pet care experience
I have lots of time and energy to engage with your four-legged friend since I am recently retired. I live on two acres and especially love going for walks and sharing my thoughts with dogs. I have had Airedale, Doberman, Rottweiler and Toy Poodle pets and recently experienced the loss of my Poodle. I look forward to the companionship of other dogs while taking a breather from having my own while I grieve. My home is a casual and safe space designed with pets in mind. I have worked with children all my life and delight in discovering the personality traits of all beings; human and animal. I will seek to understand and provide for your pet as you request. If staying in your home I will be dependable and considerate in all matters and bring my own food and entertainment (books!). I am truly looking forward to meeting you and your dog(s). After the first boarding I will be happy to meet you closer in if the distance is a concern.

We were so relieved to find Barbara to watch our golden on our wedding day. She was very responsive and arrived promptly to pick him up at our venue and dropped him off. We would definitely recommend booking with her.

Dietary specifics, personality quirks, likes and dislikes, any physical limitations or concerns. I need to know if they have a tendency to escape fences and should be on a leash even within my fence. I need to know if they hate cats and will chase and kill cats. My cat can be secured in a separate area and tends to hide when I have visitors so I can accept chasers but may think twice about a dog that may hurt my cat.
A typical day
I will take my new friends on the walks I have taken my own dogs on, usually rural and dirt paths. Sometimes I go to my family beach house and will bring dogs with me if ok. I live near a major dog park and If appropriate will go there. Rides in the car will be necessary to get to most formal walks. Playing catch and running are all possible at home.
