Born and raised in the Hudson Valley. Just moved to this area in May of 2018 and LOVE it!!! Joined Rover in May but have been taking care of pups and kitties for many years. What can I tell you about myself? I love the outdoors and do a lot of hiking with my husband Roger (married July 2018 in Acadia National Park in Maine) He is my romantic, quirky soulmate. We enjoy all our adventures and look forward the many more to come. I went to Cortland State for Economics/Mgmt and after many years in the business field, stayed home to take care of 2 daughters and our pets (pug, 3 cats, lizards, frogs and guinea pig). Opened my own workout studio and worked long hours for 9 years and decided to sell in 2010. I now work from home with my husband, manufacturing and selling overlays for cars/trucks full time. We have 3 online stores...eBay, Etsy and Amazon and are very fortunate to both do what we love full time. Genuinely love all animals! I rescued many cats and dogs and have had many different types of pets throughout my lifetime. I also volunteered at ARF in Beacon and really enjoyed taking care of all the rescues. I am the animal whisperer (they seem to all love me) and would love to cuddle and care for your fur baby. Need a last minute appointment? No worries! I work from home, so my schedule is super flexible. I worked outside the home for years years and wish that they had this service for me back then. Thank goodness I worked close to home so I could make trips back and forth to care for them. In September 2019, we rescued a 3 month old, 10 lb Blue Heeler pup (Australian Cattle Dog), Ziggy Blu, that was found on the streets in Arkansas. He is my life and I am so happy he made that big trip up here to the North to be with us. Quite the active character with a big personality. He is a hiker, is kind and loves all animals, like his paw’rents ❤️ We all love the outdoors so we spend a lot of time hiking in the Hudson Valley. I also have two grown daughters that live on their own with their own rescues. Emily graduated from FIT and now works in marketing for a beauty company. Olivia is a pharmacy tech & is in school to become a vet. My greatest accomplishment in life was bringing them up and molding them into the string women they are today. They are beautiful, sweet, caring daughters that love animals just like their mom. Going out of town for a few days or in town and need a sitter? A drop in visit or someone to exercise your baby?
